Imagens de si projetadas no discurso jornalístico da América Latina: a tradição editorialística do Jornal do Brasil e do Clarín nos séculos XX e XXI

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze how the set of multiple images of themselves projected in the editorials of Jornal do Brasil and of Clarín is diachronically established. All of these issues are related to cultural identity of countries of Latin America, between 1945 and 2014. In order to do that, we focused on the concepts of ethos and discursive traditions from the postulates of Maingueneau (2008a, 2008b) and Kabatek (2001, 2005) undet the view of Discourse Analysis and Romance Philology, respectivelly. At first, we tried to theoretically situate these conceptual requirements and,then, analyze the configuration of multiple ethe that are designed in the media discourse of the two investigated newspapers, between the twentieth and twenty-first, in a transdisciplinary epistemological exercise which we have named philology of the discourse.
