Franz Kafka e a tentativa de redenção pela literatura

Abstract

The irst part of this article concerns the presentation and discussion of information about the origins of the writer Franz Kafka, referring not only to his family but also to his hometown. Subsequently, this work is concentrated on its main focus, that is, the discussion about the tormented psyche of the Czech-Jewish-German author, a man divided between the bureaucratic and routine work at an insurance company and the desire and necessity to dedicate himself wholly to literature. In order to achieve the goal of this article, some references are made to personal and interpersonal conlicts and psychic disturbances from which Kafka might have suffered, such as fear, anxiety, insecurity, difference of opinion, neurosis etc., based on several books of him, as well as on studies that were carried out by scholars who profoundly researched Kafka’s life and writings.
