| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Neste artigo são apresentados resultados parciais de pesquisa sobre o desempenho escrito de alunos universitários. A maioria deles tem grande dificuldade de escrever e isso se expressa claramente nos textos que recebemos nas aulas de redação Oriundos de cursos diferentes, o nível de qualidade dos textos desses alunos varia de acordo com a área que escolheram. Uma vez que a maior parte deles vêm de cursinhos pré-vestibulares, resolvemos observar nesses locais como essa prática se dá e em que medida esse fato contribui para formar o nível de produção escrita apresentada pelos alunos universitários. |
| Abstract: | In this paper we present part of the results of a research on writing skills of university students. Most of them show great dificulty in writing and this can be shown in the texts they produce. As these students come from different courses, the quality of their texts vary according to the area they choose to have their studies. The preparation they have before coming to the university is also responsible for the kind of production they present. |
