| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este estudo tem por objetivo defender a proposta de que os segmentos fónicos que com frequência ocorrem entre dois radicais ou entre uma base e um sufixo devem ser analisados como morfes autônomos, embora desprovidos de significado. Argumenta-se, nesse sentido, que a introdução do conceito de interfixo para a morfologia portuguesa reduziria drasticamente o número de morfes derivativos, o que simplificaria a descrição linguística. Além disso, sugerem-se algumas hipóteses para uma posterior análise das motivações ou fatores que determinariam a ocorrência da interfixação em português. |
| Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to explain the concept that the elements that frequently happen among two radicals or between a base and a suffix should be analyzed as autonomous morphemes, although they do not have a meaning. We argue, in that sense, that the introduction of the interfix concept for the Portuguese morphology would enough reduce the number of suffixes, in arder to simplify the linguistic description. Resides, we suggest some hypotheses for the analysis of the motivations or factors that would determine the occurrence of the interfixes in the Portuguese Language. |
