| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | O estudo teve como objetivo investigar o itinerário terapêutico no cuidado mãe-filho com interfaces entre a cultura e biomedicina. Com abordagem qualitativa e desenho exploratório, esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida entrevistando dez puérperas em um bairro de Florianópolis/SC. Com o software Atlas-Ti 5.0, os dados resultaram em quatro categorias: caracterização das participantes; reconhecendo-se como parte de uma rede de cuidados; balanceando saberes e práticas no cuidado mãe-filho; a cultura e a biomedicina – relações possíveis para um cuidado com sentido. Os resultados permitiram conhecer elementos do itinerário terapêutico de mães puérperas no cuidado de seus filhos, especialmente nas relações entre os três subsistemas que compõem o sistema de cuidados à saúde, na perspectiva da antropologia da saúde. Estas optam e definem caminhos considerando a especificidade do caso, incluindo gravidade, disponibilidade e adequação dos recursos, em um claro balanço entre saberes e práticas populares e científicas. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic itinerary in mother-child healthcare, while interfacing culture and biomedicine. With a qualitative approach and an exploratory design, this research was developed interviewing ten postpartum mothers in a district of Florianópolis/SC. Using the Atlas-Ti 5.0 software version, four categories emerged from the data: participants characterization; recognizing themselves as a part of the healthcare network; balancing knowledge and practices in the mother-child healthcare; culture and biomedicine - possible relations for a meaningful healthcare. The results have allowed to know the elements of the therapeutic itinerary of postnatal mothers in the healthcare of their children, especially in relations between the three subsystems which compose the healthcare system, in the health anthropology perspective. The mothers choose and define paths for the healthcare considering the particular case, including severity, availability and adequacy of resources, in a clear balance between knowledge, popular and scientific practices. |
| Abstract in Spanish: | El objetivo fue investigar el itinerario terapéutico en la atención madre-hijo con interfaces entre cultura y biomedicina. Con enfoque cualitativo y diseño exploratorio, la investigación fue desarrollada a través de entrevista a diez puérperas de Florianópolis/SC, Brasil. Con el software Atlas-ti 5,0, los datos resultaron en cuatro categorías: caracterización de las participantes; reconociéndose como parte de una red de atención; balanceando saberes y prácticas en la atención madre-hijo; la cultura y la biomedicina - relaciones posibles para un cuidado con sentido. Los resultados permitieron conocer elementos del itinerario terapéutico de las madres puérperas en la atención a sus hijos, especialmente en las relaciones entre los tres subsistemas que componen la atención de salud, en la perspectiva de la antropología de la salud. Estas optan y definen caminos considerando la especificad del caso, incluso gravedad, disponibilidad y adecuación de los recursos, en un claro balanceo entre saberes y prácticas populares y científicos. |
