Conservação preventiva em acervos iconográficos de arquitetura

Abstract

The present work aims to contribute to scientific research in the field of preventive conservation through a diagnostic analysis of the preservation conditions of the drawing collection of the Library of the Architecture and Urbanism Course at the Federal University of Ceará. For this purpose, a qualitative approach is adopted, based on a field study aimed at collecting data relevant to the current conditions of the collection. The results obtained indicate the need to implement preventive conservation actions, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the collection for the preservation of cultural heritage. In this context, the development of a conservation plan is proposed, taking into account the specificities of the materials present in the collection and encouraging user awareness of the importance of preservation. This integrated approach is essential not only to ensure the physical integrity of the collection but also to guarantee its accessibility and relevance for future generations of students and researchers.
