Método ativo como metodologia para o ensino em Engenharia de Energias

Abstract

The Energy Engineering course of the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB) has sought to make teaching in engineering closer to innovative technologies and this new approach stimulates the effective collaboration of students. The Biomass energy laboratory is a fertile field for this application, and the discipline is connected to the different environmental / social / technological problems faced in the daily life of the students. The profile of the UNILAB students allows this greater immersion in the problematization, because this public is resident in the interior of Ceará and in African and Asian countries, where there are urgent issues to be selected with the use of energy from biomass. Thus, the active methodology is applied in the biomass energy laboratory discipline. The Active Method brings the problematization of reality as a system to improve professional skills of the energy engineer. This teaching methodology has as main characteristic to make the student protagonist of his learning process and the teacher being mediator of this process. The present article presents a methodology of practical teaching in the laboratory that searches from theoretical concepts that the students realize their own methodology of experiment understanding its importance to the process of execution. Applying the active method, the student's engagement rate during the practices was increased and the student's responsibility in the learning process was increased.
