Perfil de investidor dos discentes do Curso de Ciências Atuariais da Universidade Federal do Ceará

Abstract

Given the relevance of the actuary's relationship with risk and the scarcity of academic papers on the investor's profile and behavior, this undergraduate work seeks to determine the investor profile among students of the Actuarial Science course at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). To this end, topics such as the financial market, types of investments, interest rates, indexers, and the investor profile are discussed in this study. This research is classified as bibliographical, documentary, descriptive, and field, and a questionnaire was applied to students of the Actuarial Science course at UFC. The results of the research indicate that the majority of the students surveyed have a moderate investor profile. Representing 53% of the sample, these students are willing to assume some risk in their investments, seeking a differentiated return in the medium term and diversifying part of their applications in more aggressive options. The research also highlights the relationship between actuarial students and the risks they assume.
