Compreensões da psicologia acerca das pessoas com problemas relacionados ao uso de drogas no serviço de psicologia aplicada.

Abstract

This study aimed to understand how the psychology perceives and positions itself in the face of drug use, and from this understanding, how it sees the subjects that bring drug abuse complaint at the Serviço de Psicologia Aplicada (SPA) in the city of Sobral. This is a documentary research with a qualitative approach, which through the access to the documents that constitute the psychological record of the S.P.A was able to apply a questionnaire to obtain data. Through the initial form, the host record was drawn up a sociodemographic and clinical profile of the service's clientele reporting problems related to drug use. Through the screening form by the description of the synthesis of the initial interview was reached that in the speeches the drug is considered to be the cause of the problems in the life of the subject. The drug is also seen as an element of language, where individuals assign functions according to their subjectivity. The family has a prominent role in this phenomenon, regarding the justification for drug use and the motivation for the search of the school-clinic. It was concluded that Psychology tries to understand the position that substance has in the life of individuals, starting from the idea that this problem related to the consumption of this drug has a function in the lives and social contexts of these individuals.
