Redução da maioridade penal: necessidade real ou uma simples medida populista?

Abstract

This article seeks, through the dialectic argumentation between the several points of view and the numberless motivations contraries between themselves, to ponder the most adequate solution to the problem of the possible reduction of the criminal majority in Brazil. The theme, which is a current highlight, has strong pleas in all fronts and still needs an hegemonic opinion, which is a result of the necessity of a debate with details not totally clarified that need to be considered. This work seeks to reunite such details and tries to formulate the most adequate solution to the situation of penal majority in the current Brazilian situation, where the media presence and the intellectual influence, though very strong, were not capable of conducting the general opinion to a consensus.
