| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | O presente artigo empreende, de forma introdutória, o debate ainda necessário acerca das categorias marxistas: trabalho, sindicato e consciência de classe. Estes conceitos permanecem importantes na atual crise estrutural do capital, espraiada a todas as dimensões do ser social, pela persistência do trabalho como categoria central da sociabilidade humana, bem como pela importância da organização e da luta dos trabalhadores no processo de superação da sociedade de classes. Esta realidade demanda por parte dos organismos de representação dos trabalhadores, dentre eles o sindicato, o vigoroso papel de arregimentar a consciência de classe, presa nos desvãos dos discursos mistificadores da ideologia dominante, empunhando - mais do que nunca - a desafiadora tarefa de articular os interesses imediatos aos interesses históricos do "ser que vive do trabalho" com vistas à construção do socialismo. |
| Abstract: | The article focuses upon the debate around the Marxist categories related to labor, labor unions and class consciousness. The author defends that the relevance of the above mentioned debate is reaffirmed in the present social context, which is characterized by the effects of capital's structural crisis (Mészâros) over all dimensions of the social being. From this theoretical point of view, it is stated that the labor category remains central to the understanding of the process of social reproduction, and, moreover, it reasserts the importance of the labor struggle towards the overcoming of the capitalist order. In this process labor unions play a most significant role concerning the development of class consciousness, against the dominant wave of mystifying paradigms and speeches about reality, undertaking the task of articulating immediate and historical interests, from the perspective of the working class. |
