Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the spreading of the SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Respiratory
Syndrome Coronavirus 2) affected the health all over the world. In a lot of services, to contain
the disease spreading, new treatment protocols were adopted. The professional dentist is in high
risk of contamination because of the direct work in the patient’s oral cavity, the virus
transmission place through the saliva and the aerosols’ generation, as well as the contact with
the equipments’ surfaces, thus it is important security and protection measures. In pediatric
dentistry, there are singular challenges because of the comportament management necessity of
the pediatric patients, that implies an attendance that involves more people (dentist, assistant,
responsables) and increases cross-infections. Also, with the addition of the individual protection
equipment and a new attendance routine, there is the risk of affecting the vinculation
development with the child. To minimize the damages, protocols and guidances that include
previous carings in the attendance and minimally invasive procedures were elaborated,
contributing to the security and management in pediatric patients. Thus, the study aims to
synthesize the adopted biosecurity protocols in the pediatric dentistry practice because of the
COVID-19 pandemic. An electronic search was performed in the databases PubMed, CAPES
Periodicals Portal and LIVIVO with the keywords Pediatric Dentistry and Covid-19. After the
reading of the titles and the abstracts, 09 articles were selected to this study, being included
studies about the biosecurity guidelines in the pediatric dentistry attendance during the Covid-
19 pandemic. We excluded those articles that were related exclusively with other attendance
aspects in the pediatric dentistry, such as Teledentistry, anxiety, oral health perception and
others. We concluded that the professionals have to follow infection control measures and keep
updated through the scientific evidences, being necessary new studies about this subject to
promote constant updating.

Abstract: Breast cancer is a multifactorial disease that mainly affects women and has shown an increase in incidence and mortality rates. Early identification and treatment are important elements for patients' survival and quality of life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many services were affected, including oncology services, with restrictions and a decrease in the flow of patients. According to Brazilian legislation, treatment for cancer patients must be started early within 60 days. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic in the follow-up of the surgical treatment of women with breast cancer. Analytical, retrospective, longitudinal study, carried out in a reference mastology outpatient clinic of the public network in the city of Fortaleza - Ceará, Brazil. The research involved the collection of data from 140 medical records of women attended at the site from November 2021 to January 2022 diagnosed with breast cancer and elective surgery performed. According to the proposed objectives, it was found that the follow-up of the surgical treatment of patients diagnosed by biopsy performed by the mastology clinic was predominantly adequate, performed in a period of less than 60 days. However, for patients referred with diagnosis by biopsy outside the reference, this period was longer than 60 days in most women. The time between the diagnostic biopsy and the first visit to the service during the COVID-19 pandemic was predominantly less than 30 days. For patients without a defined diagnosis, the time between the 1st consultation and diagnosis by biopsy was also, for the most part, less than 30 days. Of the clinical and sociodemographic factors associated with the start of consultations, age was associated with the shortest time between biopsy and the 1st consultation (p=0.022). Schooling of more than 9 years of study was associated (p=0.026) with shorter treatment time for patients diagnosed outside the institution, with an 84% lower prevalence in time to treatment. In patients diagnosed in the reference, the type of tumor (p=0.019) and the use of Neoadjuvant therapy (p=0.000) were associated with shorter treatment time. It is concluded that care for outpatients, even in the context of a pandemic, took place in a timely manner.

Abstract: This study seeks to analyze the relationship between municipal management (represented by the adoption of
management instruments) and vulnerability to the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazilian municipalities. As proxies for municipal management and vulnerability, the Municipal Management Index (IGM) and the Municipal Vulnerability Index to COVID-19 (IVMCOVID-19) were used, respectively. The indexes were composed of indicators extracted from the Municipal Basic Information Survey (MUNIC), published by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the Votorantim Institute. The relationship between IGM and IVMCOVID-19 was analyzed using regressions estimated by the Ordinary Least Squares Method and quantile regressions. The main results showed that municipal management reduces the municipality's vulnerability to COVID-19. The statistical evidence on the role of the municipality in leading the COVID-19 crisis motivated presents that municipal management, by favoring the development and adoption of public policies, also acts as a reducing agent of vulnerability to COVID-19. In this sense, the implementation of management tools must be incorporated as a commitment by the local authorities to create adaptive capacity to face this and other crises.

Abstract: The pandemy of Sars-Cov-2, that causes COVID-19, has impacted a huge number of economic
sectors arround the worl, including the construction industry. Thus, many researchs were
carried out aming to understand the pandemic cenário and to minimize the damage caused.
Specifically in research on construction industry was observed a prolific literature. However,
there is a gap related with the safety at sites of small construction. Due of this gap, this research
aims to analyze how safety management is carried at small construction sites is taking place in
the COVID-19 pandemic scenario. For that, three case studies were carried out with
construction companies that perform small constructions. As results, the main measures that
can serve as a basis for improving occupational safety management in small constructions were
raised from literature review. Moreover, a contextualization of safety management was carried
out before the pandemic to identify the impacts caused by COVID-19 and explore the new
adopted measures. It is worthy to notice that the financial availability of a small construction
was the main barrier to safety management. In addition, resistance from workers was identified
to meet minimum protection issues, such as wearing a mask. It was not found the use of sectorial
protocols in use by the construction companies. This can be related with the low diffusion or
due of the unfeasibility of proposed measures to the contexto of small construction. Finally,
there were no substantial changes in safety management before and during the pandemic. The
same difficulties continued and the pandemic increased the risk to construction workers.
