Daring to see through our own lenses, it is inevitable to question the conceptual and methodological tracks that guide us through this path. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to understand and interpret traces of socialities in literary writings. That is, starting from literary texts, to follow the trajectories of alterities present in social relations that mark society. The hypothesis presented here is that the traces of socialities are present in these contemporary literary narratives, and that under a confluence of literary genres and forms, there are quests to express particular social experiences. In the restless work of literature, lies one of the paths to an archeology of this era of uncertainty – a support, even tough ephemeral, in face of a world that we have not yet learned how to look upon. Through an archeological view of knowledge, this work puts in dialogue the knowledges of social sciences and literature, aiming to understand the movements of social life or the narratives that express the outlines of these socialities. I base myself in the approaches of the archeology of knowledge, so dear to Michel Foucault, fictional ethnography, the Michel Maffesoli’s conceptions about contemporary sociality, and the reflections on narratives and literary writings, in order to outline the readings about aspects that marks the today’s social life in the texts of the brazilian writers João Gilberto Noll (Porto Alegre-RS) and Luiz Ruffato (Cataguases-MG). Therefore, in a possible “fictional ethnography”, I try to show that these literary texts raise the struggles of contemporary social experience. Through them, the multiple voices of counterpoint alterities become present in a crossing of temporalities, nomadisms, in the marks of a “thin geography of the cities”, in a rage of the body, in the oblivion of the social memory in the arenas of alterities that emerge in present society. Therefore, in the literary narratives of the contemporary sociality are distinct “dismounts” of the literary writing, filled with nomad, migrant, dislodged viewpoints. “Underminers of form and gaze”, these writings may follow and permeate the struggles of the lived. I begin the text with a reflection under the empirical material and the skills that I use to get them. Then, at that point, I articulate the dilemmas and tensions that I experienced during the fieldwork through my long contact with recluse criminals and outlaws. Next I analyze the procedures and efforts of a team of robbers that mastermind a conspiracy to rob a large quantity of money from a private security company. I guess on the affinities and conflicts between the members of this complex project. My perspective is on the conception of performance analysis by Erving Goffman, that puts himself in the position of a daily observer. Through this method I noticed the building of façades by the so- called “bank robbers” in the periods that they are projecting their criminal actions and in their routine full of risks and uncertainties like outsiders. With the notions of liminal and experience by Victor Turner I observe the consequences of the involvement in the great robberies under their daily life and personal trajectories making use of illegal acts as life alternative and way to social ascent. Loving the nature, searching for a physical contact with it, spending energy and money to go through it and experience extraordinary feelings are all elements of the modern cultural weft. Tourists at the GR20 (Corsica) and at the Chapada Diamantina (Bahia, Brazil) inherited from the history of the idea of nature, from the history of the individual and from the history of free time in western civilization. They are moved by the desire of nature, which is worked out in the urban routine, and which emergence conditions are similar in both countries. However, the features of the « hiking ritual » in each of these places change according to their social structures and their « national myths ». In one hand, we can see how French tourists in Corsica experience and act the « myth of the individual » (Miguel Benasayag), fulfilled by equality and autonomy values. On the other hand, Brazilian tourists perform a hierarchical social scene, which places them between the guide who serves them and the natural divinity that overwhelms them. In both cases, a political question can be asked: does the feeling of nature hide and legitimate a « selective democracy » (Jessé Souza) that is connected to a depoliticization of nature as raw material ?
