Título: Treinamento simulado de soft skills com profissionais de saúde atuantes em unidades de terapia intensiva: uma revisão de escopo
Autor(es): Moura, Mirela Victoria Alves
Abstract: Current healthcare settings require professionals to acquire not only technical skills but also socio-emotional competencies, commonly referred to as soft skills or social abilities. In critical care environments, such as Intensive Care Units (ICUs), the management of these soft skills proves to be relevant. In this context, simulation-based training presents itself as a viable alternative for the acquisition of these competencies by professionals working in such units. To clarify the variables related to this type of training, a scoping review was conducted in order to identify the scientific evidence available in the literature on simulation-based training of soft skills with ICU professionals. The review was guided by the model proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and followed the recommendations of the PRISMA-ScR checklist. Searches were conducted between May and June 2025 in the PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and CINAHL databases. Eligible studies for this research included original articles, available in full electronically, addressing the topic of simulation-based soft skills training with professionals working in intensive care. No language or time restrictions were applied. After all screening steps, forty studies were included in this review. Most of the articles were published in English, and a considerable number were published in the last five years. The results show that the most frequently addressed soft skills in the training programs were communication, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making. The simulations covering these skills were based on real clinical situations, requiring participants to master these competencies. Scenarios such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, burn management, and end-of-life communication were among the most frequently reported. Regarding the simulation characteristics, in situ training was the most prevalent, with clinical simulation being the most prominent approach. Nurses stood out as the most frequently involved professionals in the training sessions. Overall, participants’ perceptions of the training programs were highly positive. The main limiting factors identified were the risk of bias, small sample sizes, and the limited generalizability of the findings. It is hoped that the evidence gathered in this review will help support future research and initiatives, especially within the Brazilian context.

Título: Usabilidade de solução de realidade virtual para prevenção de queda em pessoas idosas
Autor(es): Bandeira, Anna Isabelly Lima
Abstract: Falls are one of the main adverse events that compromise the health, independence and
quality of life of elderly people. Among the prevention strategies, Health Education plays a
fundamental role, and can be enhanced by innovative technologies, such as Vi rtual Reality
(VR). This study aimed to analyze the usability of an educational VR game developed to
prevent falls in elderly people. This is a cross -sectional study conducted with elderly people
participating in a university extension project. The game wa s developed based on literature
studies, materials from the Study and Research Group on Aging, Education and
Inter professional Health (GEPEESI) and reports from the elderly themselves. It presents four
virtual scenarios: two with risk objects and two with fall prevention strategies, in the bedroom
and bathroom environments. The player has up to two minutes to identify the objects present
in each scenario. VR immersion was performed using specific glasses and the elderly person
was positioned in a 360° rotat ing chair to ensure safety and comfort, avoiding physical
movement and possible adverse effects such as cybersickn ess. Usability was assessed using
the adaptation of the questionnaire entitled Model for the Evaluation of Educational Games
(MEEGA+), with ca lculation of the Agreement Index (CI). The results demonstrated high
acceptance of the solution. The overall usability CI was 91.42%, with emphasis on items such
as ease of learning (100%) and clarity of rules (100%). There were no reports of side effects,
even among participants with a history of labyrinthitis or migraine. Therefore, the use of
virtual reality proved to be a viable approach for promoting health education with a focus on
preventing falls in the elderly.

Título: Cuidados de enfermagem na prevenção de lesão por pressão em pessoas idosas: uma revisão integrativa da literatura
Autor(es): Davi, Ana Lara Melo Vasconcelos
Abstract: Pressure injury is damage to the skin and/or underlying soft tissues, usually over a bony prominence or related to the use of a medical device or other artifact. In this perspective, nursing plays a key role in adopting preventive measures based on guidelines for clinical practice, an issue that is relevant in the care of older adults in various settings. The present study aims to investigate the literature on nursing care in the prevention of pressure injuries in older adults. This is an integrative review, based on six stages, derived from a study by the Institutional Program for Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC). The searches were conducted in the following databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE); Nursing Database (BDENF); Web of Science; Scopus; Epistemonikos. The search strategy was defined using the PICo approach. Studies investigating nursing care in the prevention of pressure injuries in older adults were included, with no restrictions on language or year of publication. Theses, dissertations, letters, conference proceedings, and duplicate studies were excluded. Rayyan software was used to assist in the identification and selection of studies, and a customized data collection instrument was adopted for data categorization. Thus, the final sample consisted of 12 articles. Regarding the profile of the included studies, the most frequent countries were Finland and Brazil, the year with the highest concentration of studies was 2019, in relation to the methodological design, systematic reviews predominated, and in relation to the care setting, the hospital environment prevailed. Regarding the nursing care found, repositioning and the use of surfaces/devices for pressure relief were present in all studies. However, care with nutritional management, regular skin assessment and inspection, skin and bone prominence protection, risk assessment, moisture and incontinence control strategies, documentation and recording of practices, skin hydration, counseling, health education, self-care, and temperature control. In summary, these findings reinforce the importance of nursing care in the prevention of pressure injuries in older adults, highlighting the need for scientific evidence directed at the clinical context.

Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by the inactivity or lack of production
of the pancreatic hormone insulin, and is divided into Type 1, 2 and gestational. In this context,
despite having treatment, it can be a risk factor for the development of diseases. During
pregnancy, hyperglycemia can cause vaginitis, which is a vaginal inflammation that has various
causes and impairs the quality of life of women. This study aims to map the risk factors for the
development of vaginitis in pregnant women with DM in the literature. It is characterized as a
narrative review, which was carried out from the selection of health descriptors related to the
theme and combined with each other, the main ones being: <Pregnant women=, <Diabetes=,
<Vaginitis=. The selected databases were: Medline, Pubmed, Ebsco, BVS, Scopus, Web of
Science, Embase and Scielo. The search period took place in October 2024. A total of 2,182
publications from database searches were analyzed, but only 21 studies were included in the
review according to the inclusion criteria. The risk factors for vaginitis identified were divided
into clinical, obstetric, and sociodemographic factors. It was noted that the studies discussed
clinical, obstetric, and sociodemographic factors, however, there was a prevalence of clinical
factors: presence of DM, use of oral contraceptives, previous history of candidiasis, HIV
infection, and use of antibiotics. Preventing vaginitis in pregnant women is important to prevent
complications and ensure maternal and fetal health.
