      <title>Conflitos ambientais na área de preservação permanente do sistema hídrico Maceió-Papicu (Fortaleza - Ceará)</title>

      <description>Título: Conflitos ambientais na área de preservação permanente do sistema hídrico Maceió-Papicu (Fortaleza - Ceará)
Autor(es): Rodrigues, Ariele Maria Torres
Abstract: The urbanization process in Fortaleza has caused intense socio-environmental transformations, especially in environmentally fragile areas such as dune fields, beach strips, water resources, and floodplains. This article aims to analyze the environmental conflicts existing in the Permanent Preservation Area (APP) of the Maceió-Papicu water system through an integrated&#xD;
analysis of geo-environmental and socioeconomic aspects and the history of land use and occupation. The methodology, which is systemic and integrates landscapes, covered the analysis of the spatiotemporal evolution of the occupation of the study area, based on satellite images from 2003 and 2025, the current legal parameters in the APP, and socioeconomic data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) on income, education, and&#xD;
housing. The results indicated the advance of irregular occupations in the APP, associated with environmental degradation and a situation of socio-spatial segregation, in which the most vulnerable populations occupy environmentally fragile areas susceptible to environmental risks, while the beach area stands out for its real estate and tourism value. Using geoprocessing techniques, it was possible to identify and map areas of environmental conflict in the APP of&#xD;
this water system, providing potential support for the development of public policies aimed at protecting APPs and vulnerable populations in the area.

Abstract: The National Program for the Development and Structuring of Tourism (PRODETUR), established in 1991, encouraged tourism in Northeast Brazil, with an emphasis on the West Coast of Ceará. This research analyzes the resulting socioeconomic vulnerabilities in the municipalities of Acaraú, Caucaia, and Trairi, chosen for their proximity to Fortaleza (a major tourism hub) and&#xD;
according to a classification established by the Ministry of Tourism. Through secondary data and social indicators, it was noted that the program's effects were unequal among the locations: in Caucaia, an increase in real estate pressure was observed; in Trairi, cultural impacts and the loss of community traditions; and in Acaraú, insufficient adequate infrastructure. The study shows&#xD;
that despite the promotion of visibility and economic growth, social inequalities and territorial disputes persist, requiring more balanced public policies that can promote harmony between services and the well-being of residents.

      <title>A agricultura urbana em Fortaleza (CE): Instrumento de sustentabilidade e segurança alimentar e nutricional</title>
      <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/86901</link>
      <description>Título: A agricultura urbana em Fortaleza (CE): Instrumento de sustentabilidade e segurança alimentar e nutricional
Autor(es): Santos, Nathália Costa dos
Abstract: This research aims to reflect on how Urban Agriculture in the city of Fortaleza&#xD;
can serve as an instrument to assist the development of Food and Nutritional&#xD;
Security for the population of the capital of Ceará. The first part of the work examines how Urban Agriculture (UA) is protected in Fortaleza's municipal public policies and whether there is a relationship between them and the Food and Nutritional Security policies in this city. The second part consists of presenting the experiences mapped during field visits, discussing agroecology in urban environments. The methodology used was a bibliographic survey and systematic reading on the topic, together with mapping and the application of semi-structured questionnaires with the aim of analyzing how Urban Agriculture is spatialized in the city and what the profile of&#xD;
farmers is. The profile survey of producers was carried out based on primary data, as well as updating the spaces indicated in previous research works, based on the temporal comparison of satellite images, while all experiences visited throughout the research were georeferenced and cross-specialized with these old mappings for an update of the UA in the city of Fortaleza.
