There is a rescue of the history of two academic libraries at UFC. After that, it describes the features of WhatsApp by making a timeline for this application. Finally, it discusses the methods and strategies that were chosen to create communities and groups on WhatsApp, based on the following theoretical approaches: strategic planning, collection management and selective dissemination of information.
