    <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/85604</link>
Abstract: This study presents suicide as a way of diminishing human potency of action and conatus. We refer to the philosopher Baruch Spinoza, who, in the development of his ontology, introduces these two philosophical notions. Thus, the search for the proposed theme occurred during my work as a psychologist, which makes me reflect on the large number of people afflicted by suicidal thoughts and behaviors. With this in mind, the objective is to research the relationship between suicide and the decrease of human potency of action and conatus in Spinoza, to present an analysis of Spinoza's ontology and its main concepts, to highlight the philosopher's view on suicide, to present the notion of the decrease and increase of human potency, and finally, to explain the importance of conatus. Spinoza addresses the issue of suicide as coercion by&#xD;
external causes, which would affect the possibility of satisfying the most essential desires. conatus will be essential for understanding the relationship of the being with affections; thus, we will explore the relationship between the reduction of human potency of action and the concept of conatus in Spinoza's philosophy. The research method used was a theoretical essay, as it is understood to be the form that best fits the research object. The investigation consisted of the study and analysis of the author's main work, Ethics. However, this research will contribute to understanding the relationship between the proposed themes, thus potentially collaborating with the field of knowledge.

    <title>A compreensão do feminino em Edith Stein</title>
    <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/85564</link>
    <description>Título: A compreensão do feminino em Edith Stein
Autor(es): Rodrigues, Ana Caroline dos Santos
Abstract: This research is characterized as a reflective bibliographical study that seeks to investigate the&#xD;
understanding of the feminine from the perspective of Edith Stein’s thought, taking as its primary&#xD;
references the works Woman According to Nature and Grace (1999) and Life in a Jewish Family&#xD;
and Other Autobiographical Writings (2018). The methodological approach adopted is grounded&#xD;
in conceptual-hermeneutical analysis, aiming to comprehend the meaning of the feminine in light&#xD;
of lived experience and the author’s philosophical elaboration. Within this framework, which&#xD;
privileges the relevance of the feminine figure as manifested in Edith Stein’s lived experiences,&#xD;
the first chapter is devoted to explicating the maternal influence in her formative process; the&#xD;
second chapter examines the foundations of Stein’s thought on the feminine; and the third chapter&#xD;
reflects on the importance of women in the contemporary context, in light of the author’s&#xD;
philosophical contributions. The research is centrally oriented toward the theme of woman and&#xD;
demonstrates how the philosopher’s autobiographical elements are articulated with her theoretical&#xD;
reflection, contributing to the constitution of an understanding of the feminine that transcends the&#xD;
historical scope of its production, thereby consolidating her work as a significant reference both&#xD;
for women of her generation and for subsequent generations.

    <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/82716</link>
Abstract: This work investigates the concept of human beings through the philosophy of Abraham Joshua&#xD;
Heschel, focusing on the risks of dehumanization caused by technical rationality and modern&#xD;
productivism. The research argues that the absolutization of technology and the neglect of&#xD;
spirituality disfigure the integrality of human existence. Using a hermeneutic-phenomenological&#xD;
approach, the study analyzes the works "God in Search of Man" and "Man Is Not Alone,"&#xD;
connecting them to the critique of modernity and Heschel's ethical and spiritual proposal. The first&#xD;
chapter explores Heschel's conception of humanity, emphasizing openness to mystery, co-creation,&#xD;
and reverence as constitutive dimensions of the human being. In the second chapter, the author&#xD;
examines the critique of technocratic modernity, highlighting the fragmentation of time, the&#xD;
trivialization of life, and the loss of interiority as symptoms of a spiritual crisis. The third chapter&#xD;
proposes spirituality as a path to rehumanization, through teshuvah (return), self-discernment, and&#xD;
the revaluation of the divine image in humans. The study concludes that Heschel's anthropology&#xD;
offers an ontological and ethical alternative to contemporary dehumanization by placing the sacred&#xD;
at the center of human experience and promoting an active spirituality, sensitive to justice and&#xD;
dignity of individual.

    <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/81819</link>
Abstract: This research presents the thought of Anselmo de Cantuária, a Catholic religious who&#xD;
lived in the 11th century, as a theme for reflection. The argumentation he organized&#xD;
came to be known as the ontological argument. This is a relevant argument, especially&#xD;
when one considers the current tendency to affirm that faith and reason are&#xD;
antagonistic dimensions. For Anselm, antagonistically, the existence of God could be&#xD;
proved by rational means. For that, he writes the work Proslogium, in which he&#xD;
develops his argument in order to achieve the proofs of God's existence. Anselm was&#xD;
therefore convinced that it was impossible for a foolish man to claim that God does not&#xD;
exist. This monograph aims to present the exposition presented by Anselm of&#xD;
Canterbury as an ontological argument, which seeks to prove the existence of God&#xD;
through pure reason, starting from the definition of the concept of God as the supreme&#xD;
and perfect being and, therefore, to discuss about the main objections to Anselm's&#xD;
thought. For this, it is necessary to recognize that Anselm's thought is directly&#xD;
influenced by the mentality and culture inherent in the Late Middle Ages. The&#xD;
methodology used in the present monographic text consists of bibliographical&#xD;
research, the primary bibliographical reference being the book Proslogion: with the&#xD;
responses of Gaunilo and Anselm. In addition, a wide range of academic productions&#xD;
on the theme worked were also analyzed.
