    <title>Estudo comparativo das principais causas dos acidentes ligados ao petróleo no Brasil nas últimas duas décadas.</title>
    <link>http://repositorio.ufc.br/handle/riufc/83163</link>
    <description>Título: Estudo comparativo das principais causas dos acidentes ligados ao petróleo no Brasil nas últimas duas décadas.
Autor(es): Oliveira, Andrêsa da Silva
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the main causes of accidents in the oil sector in Brazil over the&#xD;
last two decades, focusing on the environmental, social and economic impacts resulting from&#xD;
these events. The research investigated everything from technical and operational failures to&#xD;
institutional and regulatory deficiencies, seeking to understand how these variables relate to&#xD;
the recurrence of accidents in the sector. The methodology adopted was qualitative in nature,&#xD;
based on documentary analysis of technical reports, academic publications and official data&#xD;
from regulatory agencies, which allowed the identification of patterns, weaknesses and&#xD;
opportunities for improvement in safety practices in oil operations. Based on this&#xD;
interpretative approach, it was possible to examine the organizational and political contexts&#xD;
that influence risk management and disaster prevention. The results showed that accidents are&#xD;
the result of a complex combination of human, technical and structural factors, aggravated by&#xD;
the weakness in the application of safety standards and the insufficiency of inspection&#xD;
mechanisms. It is concluded that the adoption of a systemic and integrated approach,&#xD;
anchored in preventive policies, safety culture, continuous training of workers and rigorous&#xD;
monitoring, is essential to mitigate the risks in the sector and ensure that energy development&#xD;
occurs in a sustainable manner, protecting lives, the environment and the national economy.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the economic feasibility of shale gas exploration in Brazil,&#xD;
considering geological, technological, economic, environmental, and regulatory aspects. The&#xD;
research was conducted through a literature review and comparative analysis of national and&#xD;
international data. The study identified that Brazil has sedimentary basins with high potential&#xD;
for unconventional gas production, such as the Paraná, Parnaíba, Recôncavo, Solimões, and&#xD;
Amazonas basins. However, exploration faces significant challenges, including high production&#xD;
costs, lack of adequate infrastructure, and gaps in the regulatory framework. Additionally, the&#xD;
environmental impacts associated with hydraulic fracturing require special attention and&#xD;
mitigation measures. The analysis concludes that, despite existing barriers, shale gas can&#xD;
represent a strategic transitional energy source, provided there is investment in technology,&#xD;
specific regulation, and sustainable planning. The study proposes recommendations for the&#xD;
responsible development of this activity in Brazil.

    <description>Título: Integração de modelo geomecânico 1D e modelo com acoplamento fluxo-geomecânico para estudo da estocagem de CO2 em um reservatório de gás depletado da Bacia do Parnaíba
Autor(es): Silva, Francisco Lucas Damascena
Abstract: The search for measures to reduce the effects of climate change has marked contemporary&#xD;
times. One of the most impactful gases is CO2, one of the main causes of the greenhouse effect.&#xD;
This gas comes from the combustion of automobiles, thermoelectric plants, and industries of&#xD;
various categories. It is directly related to the burning of fossil fuels. With this in mind, we seek&#xD;
ways to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere based on scientific studies. One of these&#xD;
methods is the sequestration and storage of this gas in an oil or gas reservoir. In this study, a 1D&#xD;
geomechanical model will be constructed based on well logs adapted from a gas field and&#xD;
mathematical correlations obtained from the literature on the subject, in addition to the creation&#xD;
of a flow model coupled with a 3D geomechanical model. With the 1D geomechanical model,&#xD;
it will be possible to describe the poroelastic behavior of the reservoir and the cap rock, that is,&#xD;
the behavior of the principal stresses acting on the formation and the pore pressure will be&#xD;
described, with the objective of calculating the maximum pressure that the reservoir can&#xD;
withstand so that the largest possible amount of CO2 can be stored. The flow model coupled&#xD;
with geomechanics will describe the behavior of the gas during storage, the cap rock that seals&#xD;
the gas in the reservoir, and the faults present in the reservoir. In this way, it will be possible to&#xD;
study issues involving the amount of injected CO2, the reservoir's behavior involving elastic properties over time, and the cap rock's response during storage.

    <title>Captura e armazenamento de carbono: uma revisão bibliométrica entre 1994 e 2025</title>

    <description>Título: Captura e armazenamento de carbono: uma revisão bibliométrica entre 1994 e 2025
Autor(es): Barros, Cristiano Nobre
Abstract: This bibliometric study investigates the scientific production on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) between 1994 and 2024, using the InOrdinatio equation to rank the relevance of publications. The main objective is to map the evolution of CCS research, identify the main actors, trends, research themes, and collaboration networks, aiming to understand the development and state of the art of this field of knowledge. The research was conducted in the&#xD;
Scopus and Web of Science databases, using a combination of keywords in English, and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria to select the most relevant articles. The data were analyzed using RStudio software and the bibliometrix package. The results show significant growth in scientific production on CCS, driven by the increasing concern about climate change.&#xD;
China stands out as the leader in publications, followed by the United States. The co-authorship analysis revealed strong international collaboration, with the formation of research groups mainly led by Chinese authors. The analysis of research themes identified carbon sequestration, geological storage, CO2 capture, and enhanced oil recovery as areas of great relevance. The&#xD;
study concludes that CCS research has expanded globally, with China leading the research and development efforts. The InOrdinatio equation proved effective in identifying the most relevant works, revealing the influence of key authors and institutions in CCS research. The study contributes to the understanding of the evolution of CCS research and points out directions for&#xD;
future investigations.
