Abstract: This research sought to understand the importance of the figure named coordinator in High&#xD;
School Governor Adauto Bezerra in Juazeiro do Norte, State of Ceará, Brazil, in the improves&#xD;
the results of internal and external evaluations of this teaching unit which assumes a higher&#xD;
yield of the teaching-learning process. Additionally, this study sought to establish within this&#xD;
institution, if the results obtained after the implementation of the school management system&#xD;
called project “Jovem de Futuro - JF" (Young Future project - YF) which is developed by&#xD;
"Unibanco" Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MEC, acronym in&#xD;
portuguese) MEC) and the Department Basic Education of the State of Ceará, (SEDUC-CE,&#xD;
acronym in portuguese) brought real improvements in the form of the coordinators assist in&#xD;
the management of the school aiming to show its performance in the context of the overall&#xD;
management results also providing subsidies to professional coordination of other schools so&#xD;
that they can better understand the duties of the position and so that they can improve their&#xD;
work from the attitudes of management. This research was structured through semi-structured&#xD;
open interviews combined with questionnaires directed that were answered by the&#xD;
administrative management of the school (principal and coordinators), teachers, head teachers&#xD;
of areas (PCAs, acronym in portuguese), and students in order to obtain results to generate&#xD;
discussion relevant on the figures presented.
