Abstract: The Brazilian food service sector, with over 1.6 million establishments and revenues of R$ 257
billion in 2024, underwent accelerated digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although small and medium establishments adopted digital channels such as WhatsApp and
delivery apps, this adoption was superficial and unstructured, resulting in fragmented experiences
for consumers. This research investigates the gap between the convenience of delivery apps and
the benefits of restaurants’ direct channels, proposing a hybrid solution that preserves humanized
service while addressing operational deficiencies. The methodology adopted followed the Double
Diamond framework combined with Design Thinking, including quantitative research with 81
respondents and 13 qualitative interviews with consumers and establishment owners. The results
revealed that consumers value direct communication and lower prices from direct channels, but
face inconsistencies in response times, poor menu quality, and absence of order tracking. In
parallel, owners recognize the importance of automation but encounter technical and financial
limitations. As a solution, the "SeuPrato"concept was developed, a hybrid digital platform
that integrates establishment discovery through a natural language assistant, structured menus,
payment processing, and order tracking, natively connected to WhatsApp. The alidation through
usability testing with 6 participants demonstrated conceptual viability of the proposal, with 100%
of tasks completed successfully. “SeuPrato” proposes an approach that balances automation
and personalization, offering an economically viable alternative for both establishments and
consumers, eliminating high commissions while maintaining competitive experience.

Abstract: Over the years, museums have gradually changed the way they operate, as society has also
evolved in its habits and customs. With the emergence of information and communication
technologies (ICTs) and the integration of digital technologies into people's daily lives, there
is a need to use these tools to benefit cultural institutions, in order to promote them and bring
them closer to a population that is constantly connected to the internet and their electronic
devices, such as smartphones and tablets. Taking this into account, this research sought to
develop an interactive digital experience for the Jacinto de Sousa Historical Museum (MHJS),
using the photograph “Painting Studio” and reinterpretations of the works of the artist from
Quixadá, presented in augmented reality (AR). Made with the A-frame framework and the
AR.js library, the experience was built based on visits to the museum and interviews with
students from Virtual Reality 2024.2, authors of the reinterpretations that pay homage to the
artist and that make up this research. Subsequently, it was submitted to usage evaluations,
which identified that its use was satisfactory, but some points need to be improved to enhance
the user experience.

Abstract: Virtual communities are presented as a web of relationships among people who share similar tastes, values, interests, and intentions. Their members constantly consult, exchange, modify, and complement information with one another, effectively contributing to the construction of the group’s collective intelligence. The fan community, known as fandom, was initially seen as a passive audience that merely consumed culture. However, over the years, this audience has become increasingly productive, engaging actively with what it consumes by creating, expanding, and developing personalized versions of certain cultural products, known as fanmades. This study aims to investigate whether – and which – design tools are implicitly present in the creation of fanfics, a type of fanmade, within virtual fan communities. The research is based on the perspective proposed by Manzini (2017), who emphasizes the cultural role of design as a producer of meaning. To this end, interviews were conducted with fanfic writers to understand their creative writing processes. The responses were analyzed considering design tools described by Carvalho (2022) in their undergraduate thesis. The analysis revealed that 10 out of the 28 tools considered showed some level of correlation with the participants’ accounts. It is important to note that none of these tools were explicitly mentioned by the writers, suggesting that their use occurred intuitively or unconsciously. Overall, the results indicate that, even though the participants did not explicitly refer to the tools, design goes beyond being a set of tools to solve problems and it is present in the fanfic creation process, even if subtly.
