Abstract: This study evaluates the impact of Cartão Mais Infância Ceará (CMIC), a state conditional
cash transfer program, on childhood vaccination coverage in the municipalities of Ceará. The
study investigated whether financial incentives coupled with intersectoral monitoring are
effective in increasing vaccination rates during early childhood. To this end, a panel dataset
covering the period from 2015 to 2022 was constructed, utilizing an identification strategy
that compares municipalities in Ceará with their border neighbors in the states of Piauí, Rio
Grande do Norte, Paraíba, and Pernambuco. The empirical strategy consisted of estimating
Two-Way Fixed Effects models, controlling for socioeconomic and health infrastructure
variables. The results evidence that the CMIC has a positive and statistically significant
impact on vaccines administered at birth and on doses administered after the first year of life.
However, the effect proved to be heterogeneous, with no robust evidence of impact found for
vaccines administered during the first six months of life. Furthermore, a counterintuitive
decline was observed for Meningococcal C and Pneumococcal booster shots, suggesting the
existence of non-financial barriers.

Abstract: Scarcity operates not only by causing a physical absence of something but also by
instilling a mindset that influences individuals' behavior and perspectives. This study aims
to compile existing theoretical material to comprehend how scarcity affects individuals'
mindsets, leading to behaviors conditioned by it. The goal is to contribute repertoire to
the national academic community, given the absence of content on the topic produced in
Portuguese. Using the methodology of integrative literature review, this study conducted
a comprehensive analysis, focusing on objectives, methodology, and key results, of
articles that explore the connection between scarcity and individuals' behavior.
Mullainathan and Shafir's book (2022), "Scarcity," was also utilized to support the
theoretical argumentation. In conclusion, this literature review establishes that studies
consistently indicate that the scarcity mindset captures individuals' focus, resulting in a
lack of vision for opportunities. This deficiency in individuals' perspectives regarding
possibilities is expressed in their behavior. Therefore, the analyzed studies further
contribute to the understanding that the influence of the scarcity mindset on individuals'
behavior extends beyond the financial realm, exerting its impact across all areas where
scarcity is present.

Abstract: The present work aims to investigate the reasons behind the procrastination that many people
show when declaring income tax, as well as the causes and consequences of this behavior. For
this purpose, initially the research presents decision making in the light of Behavioral
Economics and Neuroeconomics. Next, a contextualization regarding procrastination is
presented. Throughout the study, the importance of taxpayers' fiscal responsibility was
emphasized, highlighting the need to comply with legal deadlines. Failure to comply with
these deadlines may result in financial losses and legal complications, affecting the taxpayers'
tax situation. A combination of literature review and data analysis is used to understand the
phenomenon and propose strategies to deal with it. The results obtained in the research
showed that late submission of income tax returns is not only a personal problem, but also a
social and financial challenge. The importance of joint action by society, tax authorities and
financial institutions to promote fiscal responsibility and reduce delays was emphasized. It is
intended, therefore, that the data from this study can be used to encourage discussion of the
importance of the topic and serve as a basis for the elaboration and implementation of policies
and measures that encourage early and full compliance with tax obligations, thus improving
compliance and minimizing negative impacts.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to show that the overload of options in the job market is making
it more difficult for young people to decide on a career. By revisiting Prospect Theory and the
Paradox of Choice, as well as the interaction between the two theories, it will be shown that a
greater number of possibilities does not necessarily mean greater final contentment when
making a choice, especially with the creation of new professions that have emerged with the
rise of digital media. A narrative literature review was used, with strict selection criteria, to
choose the research that would serve as the basis for the argumentative thesis. Therefore, by
analyzing the facts presented, it is possible to verify that a greater number of options generates
cognitive overload and the consequent decision-making paralysis in young people, triggering
the extension of the choice of a professional scope.
