Abstract: Objective: to identify in the literature the biofilm formation and its behavior when faced with interventions in cutaneous wounds. Methods: an integrative review, carried out in the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, La-tin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, EM-BASE, Scopus, The Cochrane Library Collaboration, MEDLINE/PubMed and Science Direct databases, without temporal de-limitation. Nineteen studies were selected. The information was evaluated descriptively, comparing it with the pertinent findings. Results: the sample studies were published in En-glish and included three types of biofilm research: two clini-cal, six in vitro and 11 in vivo (animal). Three themes were included: biofilm model creation (n=4), biofilm assessment (n=3), biofilm behavior before interventions for its manage-ment (n=12). Conclusion: the detrimental effects of biofilm on wound healing have been confirmed. Several interventions were able to reduce and eliminate biofilm in in vitro and in vivo models. Contributions to practice: it was found that cli-nical evaluation of the lesion does not allow the identification of biofilm, even when present; it is below the surface of the lesion. This finding raises reflection on the part of nurses re-garding the interventions adopted for the removal of biofilm.

Abstract: Objective: to mapping the evidence on hypodermoclysis in child health care. Methods: this is a scope review, with a search in Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sys-tem Online, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Cochrane Library, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus Elsevier, Web of Science and Embase. Studies published in Portuguese, English and Spanish were included, with no time cut. Results: a total of 11 studies were analyzed, with a predominance of literatu-re reviews. The main themes were: use of recombinant hu-man hyaluronidase as a facilitator of subcutaneous absorp-tion; comparison between subcutaneous and intravenous rehydration; advantages of hypodermoclysis; patient pain and puncture attempts. Conclusion: this study allowed ma-pping the scientific evidence on hypodermoclysis, revealing it to be a viable and valid alternative for administering me-dications in children.Contributions to practice: the use of the technique can bring benefits and provides evidence to indicate and apply it in child care.

Abstract: Objective: to assess nurses’ knowledge and practice toward computed tomography scan safety guidelines. Methods: a cross-sectional study was conducted using a convenience sample of 131 nurses from two government hospitals. Self-de-signed questionnaire was used to assess nurses’ sociodemo-graphic characteristics, knowledge, and practice. Descriptive analysis was performed to evaluate characteristics, correla-tions were evaluated using Spearman’s rank correlation co-efficient, and the Mann-Whitney U and the Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used to compare the mean ranks of knowledge and practice scores. Results: most respondents were female (91.6%), were aged 20–29 years (57.3%), and had bachelor’s degrees (74%). Knowledge and practice levels were 58% and 78.9% respectively. A positive correlation between knowledge and practice was observed among nurses (r=0.684, p<0.001). No statistically significant differences were observed between sociodemographic characteristics and knowledge and practi-ce scores. Conclusion: nurses showed adequate level of prac-tice toward computed tomography scan safety preparations while their knowledge level was deficient. Contributions to practice: this study informs the importance of knowledge in guiding nursing practice toward appropriate computed tomo-graphy scan safety measures.

Abstract: Objective: to describe the repercussions of the COVID-19 pan-demic on the care of the pediatric population in Primary Heal-th Care. Methods: qualitative study conducted with 28 prima-ry care coordinators linked to a regional health region. Data were imported into the NVivo Release Program for content analysis. Results: there was a reduction of access to primary care for actions of prevention and promotion of child health, intensifying assistance based on the biomedical model to the detriment of surveillance of child development as well as the need for (re)organization of assistance through new strate-gies. Conclusion: the pandemic had a negative repercussion on child health care represented by the reduction in demand and pediatric demand in Primary Health Care, however, it was identified that services were reorganized through new ap-pointments and tele-attendance to maintain the principles of primary care and the Brazilian Unified Health System. Contri-butions to practice: the study enabled the identification of new forms of health organization regarding the care of chil-dren in primary care in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because, the use of telehealth can contribute to the monito-ring of children in other realities.
