Abstract: Primary Oral Health Care (POHC) integrates the organization of Health Care Networks and requires evaluation processes capable of identifying territorial performance patterns and supporting management decision-making. This study evaluated POHC in the Health Regions of Ceará, Brazil, from the perspective of dentists, based on the theoretical frameworks of Donabedian and Starfield. This is an evaluative study with a quantitative approach and descriptive and comparative analyses. Data were collected in the second half of 2024 through an electronic questionnaire containing the professional version of the Primary Care Assessment Tool – Oral Health (PCATool-SB) and a sociodemographic and occupational questionnaire. A total of 374 valid responses were analyzed (response rate of 88.2%), from dentists working in Oral Health Teams. The essential attributes evaluated were First-contact access (Accessibility), Longitudinality, Coordination, and Comprehensiveness, synthesized in the Essential Score (scale 0–10). The results showed regional heterogeneity and persistent accessibility barriers. It was concluded that POHC in Ceará presents heterogeneous orientation regarding Primary Health Care attributes, indicating the need for regionalized management strategies focused on improving access, care integration, and continuing education.

Abstract: The community health agent (CHA) is recognized as responsible for carrying out activities for disease prevention and health promotion, through home or community actions, either individually or collectively. Their main activity is home visits. However, due to the lack of clear boundaries in the responsibilities of these professionals, they are susceptible to high levels of stress, including being held accountable for actions that fall outside their scope of duties. This study is justified because this situation was observed in the municipality where the research took place and because there is no manual guiding the responsibilities of these professionals, which sometimes leads to their work being questioned or carried out inadequately. The general objective is to develop, in a participatory manner, a guidance manual for the work process intended for community health agents. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, developed through participatory action research. Data was collected through discussion circles, guided by a form with leading questions. The statements were analyzed based on the method presented by Bardin, using thematic Content Analysis. The analysis of the material resulted in three non-aprioristic categories: the ACS work process, active search as an ACS responsibility, and manuals and protocols: their contributions to the quality of the work process. The research led to the development of a technical product entitled Guideline Manual for the Work Process of the Community Health Agent, which aims to support and qualify the practices carried out by ACS during home visits. It is organized in a standardized way throughout all sections, containing action flowcharts, ACS responsibilities, frequency of home visits, and important observations for the particularities of each life cycle or health condition. The content of the aforementioned document is composed of 10 (ten) chapters addressing home visits to a new resident, to pregnant and postpartum women, to children, adolescents, women, men, patients with hypertension and/or diabetes, patients with tuberculosis or leprosy, and elderly patients. It also includes a flowchart regarding communication with patients about scheduled tests and appointments. The study made it possible to understand the daily work routine of Community Health Agents (ACS), beyond what is outlined in ministerial documents and the Professional Practice Law of the category, based on the perspectives of the research participants. The technical product developed aims, in addition to systematizing the work of the Community Health Worker (ACS), to clarify all services within the municipality's Health

Care Network regarding their responsibilities, as an attempt to reduce demands for tasks that are outside their scope of action and to minimize the workload experienced by these workers. The choice of participatory action research for the development of the manual was seen as a strength in the implementation of this work, as it provided an opportunity to value the worker through participatory management, in which the main people involved in home visit actions were heard.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to develop the educational content and conceptual design of a mobile application intended to support self-care in leprosy. This methodological study was conducted in three phases: benchmarking of existing applications, a literature review on digital technologies applied to leprosy, and the conceptual and educational design of the application. The benchmarking was carried out in the Google Play and Apple Store platforms through a systematic search in multiple languages, with analysis of usability, target audience, functionalities, and limitations. The literature review included international databases (PubMed, LILACS), official documents from the WHO and the Brazilian Ministry of Health, and scientific publications on mHealth and self-care. The final phase consisted of developing the conceptual prototype using the frameworks proposed by Mendonza & Galvis (1999) and the three versions of Bloom’s Taxonomy (classic, revised, and digital). The results revealed a critical technological gap: currently, there is no free, Portuguese-language, patient-centered application designed specifically for self-care in leprosy. Existing technologies focus predominantly on professionals, diagnosis, and surveillance, without addressing essential needs such as health education, prevention of disabilities, daily management of warning signs, and stigma reduction. Based on these gaps, the prototype of the App Cuidar+ was developed, structured in user journeys (first access, self-care routine, management of warning signs) and composed of modules such as: daily dashboard, body inspection guide, preventive exercises, symptom diary with photographic records, telehealth, and an anti-stigma educational center. The design prioritized accessibility (WCAG 2.1), cognitive simplicity, non-stigmatizing language, and user-centered design principles. The study’s limitations include the absence of a validation phase with real users, the lack of formal usability testing, the benchmarking restricted to the data collection period, and the narrative nature of the literature review, without a systematic review protocol. On the other hand, the study addresses an unprecedented gap in digital health solutions for neglected diseases; offers a robust and methodologically grounded prototype; integrates advanced pedagogical principles with design engineering; and contributes to improving care within Primary Health Care, enhancing user autonomy and empowerment.
In conclusion, the prototype developed provides a foundation for future phases of technological development, validation, and implementation, representing a significant advancement in the field of self-care and digital health for neglected diseases in Brazil. The Cuidar+ App has the potential to strengthen treatment adherence, prevent disabilities, and contribute meaningfully to stigma reduction and to improving the quality of care within the Family Health Strategy.

Abstract: The care of hard-to-heal wounds represents a persistent challenge for Primary Health Care, especially given limitations such as shortage of supplies, absence of standardized clinical protocols, and scarcity of accessible technologies that guide evidence-based practice. The difficulties faced by Family Health professionals highlight the need for innovative solutions that optimize clinical decision-making and the organization of care, especially in contexts of social vulnerability and high demand for services. In this scenario, the use of digital tools that promote standardization of care practices, professional qualification, and increased resolvability of health services becomes relevant. Based on this, this study aimed to develop and evaluate a website for the care of hard-to-heal wounds in primary health care. The work was designed as a methodological study with a quantitative approach, divided into three main stages: survey of dressings provided by the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), construction of the digital platform, and evaluation of its content and appearance by specialists. To support the development of the website, a scoping review was carried out according to the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines, including 30 studies on digital technologies applied to wound care. The adoption of the website resulted in a sustainable, accessible, and easy-to-maintain solution, enabling the responsible team to continuously and autonomously update content and functionalities, reducing operational costs and ensuring the longevity of the project. The results revealed predominance of mobile applications and artificial intelligence algorithms, with functionalities aimed at wound measurement, structured clinical record, tissue classification, healing monitoring, and support for dressing selection. Although some of these technologies show a high level of development, initiatives adapted to the specificities of primary health care in Brazil are still scarce. The developed website demonstrated potential to strengthen clinical practice in Primary Health Care, promote evidence-based care, and expand therapeutic safety and standardization.
