Inventário Florestal: processos, etapas e relato de experiência

Abstract

The forest inventory is a vital tool that provides detailed data about the vegetation of an area, including wood volume, diversity, and the structure of the plant community. This data is essential for environmental planning and the sustainable use of forest resources. Thus, using the internship provided by Gurgel Chem Soluções Ambientais as a study tool, the general objective of this work will be to describe how the execution of a forest inventory is structured in the state of Ceará. Specific objectives will include describing the stages and methodological processes of conducting a forest inventory and selecting parameters resulting from the forest inventory that are relevant to the training of agronomy professionals. Data were collected in March and include parameters such as wood stocks, vertical structure, diameter distribution, and vegetation diversity. After generating tables and graphs using the Mata Nativa software, the four parameters were analyzed. The analysis revealed a predominance of trees in the upper stratum and provided important estimates regarding the volume of wood and the diameter of the analyzed trees, as well as the low diversity of species present in the study area. The results of the inventory are crucial for practices such as reforestation and environmental compensation. The internship demonstrated the importance of technical knowledge for conducting inventories and the contribution of phytosociology to sustainable environmental management.
