A influência do gênero feminino na consolidação da profissão de Secretariado Executivo

Abstract

Over the years the strong influence of patriarchy has oppressed and limited the female gender, however women, in the face of this, fought and conquered several advances and rights worldwide, with many achievements being acquired in the labor market. In view of the female presence in the secretariat, the present work aims to analyze how the female gender influenced the secretarial area. In order to achieve the objectives, a descriptive and qualitative research was carried out, using the Free Word Association Technique (TALP) and a Focus Group. The TALP was applied to people randomly chosen from the streets of the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, and the focus group was carried out with female students from the Executive Secretariat course at the Federal University of Ceará, making it possible to analyze the perceptions of the social imaginary associated with the identity of the secretary and the vision and opinion of the students about the majority female presence in the profession. It can be observed in the TALP results that the stereotypes arising from gender still exist, but the skills of the profession were also found and associated with secretaries. In the focus group, according to the students' reports, they recognize the stereotypes that exist in the profession, but observe the importance of secretaries to continue changing this scenario through their performance in the market.
