Enfrentamento às fake news no Ceará durante o período de pandemia

Abstract

In view of the problem of fake news during the coronavirus pandemic period, the present work sought to study and analyze the means of response that the State Government of Ceará assumed in this scenario. To this end, a study was carried out on digital inclusion and access, in recent decades, and the current context of digital inclusion and the fight against fake news carried out in the country. The present work followed an exploratory character, to understand the theme, as well as bibliographic to support the theme and find authors who dialogue both on inclusion and digital access, as well as on fake news, and documentary analysis, from observations on documents and publications of the Government. from Ceara. The objective of this work was to analyze the means of combating fake news in the State of Ceará, which were the State Law nº 17.207, which establishes a fine for dissemination in electronic media, of fake news, and the creation of the Antifake CE page, the verification agency news from the Government of the State of Ceará. A survey of the news registered in the checking agency was carried out, to collect information about the main themes of the news, in order to understand and group the information. It was found, as a result of the work, the growing concern of government spheres with access and digital inclusion, in addition to the fight against fake news. And that in Ceará, the combat measures adopted during the pandemic period proved to be necessary, according to the results of the analyzes carried out, as these point to a high number of fake news checked by the agency.
