dc.description.abstractThe present paper aims to analyse the choice made in Prolegómenos a una teoría del lenguaje by Louis Hjelmslev in favour of the scientific method and the argument which supports such decision. For that purpose the types of reasoning applied on the course of validation of knowledge and the explanations outlined by the author in order to justify the rejection of the inductive method and the adoption of the deductive method will be explained. To conclude, the relation between the theory and the data connected to the purely deductive nature of the linguistic theory proposed by Hjelmslev will also be explored.pt_BR

dc.description.abstract-esEl trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la elección del método científico de Louis Hjelmslev en Prolegómenos a una teoría del lenguaje y la argumentación con la que sostiene tal decisión. Para ello se explicarán las clases de razonamientos en el trayecto de validación del conocimiento y los argumentos esgrimidos por el autor para justificar el rechazo del método inductivo y la adopción del método deductivo. Para terminar, se expondrán las relaciones existentes entre la teoría y los datos que están vinculados con el carácter puramente deductivo de la teoría lingüística propuesta por Hjelmslev.pt_BR
