dc.description.abstract-ptbrMichelle Fine is a Distinguished Professor of Social Psychology, Women's Studies and Urban Education at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Fine completed her undergraduate degree at Brandeis University and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. After 12 years as The Goldie Anna Chaired Professor of Human Development at the University of Pennsylvania, Fine joined CUNY in 1992. Fine's work integrates critical psychological theory with feminist and post-colonial theory, participatory designs, qualitative and quantitative methods with a strong commitment to research for social justice, with special attention to Participatory Action Research (PAR) engagement.
