Agroecologia na comunidade Caetanos de Cima em Amontada-CE: A trajetória do grupo de mulheres

Abstract

Facing the global crisis (energetic, environmental, economical, etc.) which marks scarcity of resources and it is induced by expansion of the capitalist logic, new guidelines in the rural scope have been highlighted. Different styles of more sustainable agriculture such as agroecology, has been rescued, fostered and widespread, earning exposure in the construction of another logic of relation to the nature, protecting the biodiversity, guaranteeing the food sovereignty and safety, also valuing the knowledge of those historically excluded. Therefore, this study aims to identify and recognize some of the contributions of Women Group of Caetanos de Cima, in the settlement Sabiaguaba, Amontada-CE, fighting in defense of territory, in the prolific aspect and the agroecological transition of the community. It was utilized as method a qualitative research, associated to techniques of participative observation and interviews. The results indicate that the action of the group have had great importance in the fight for the right of territory and affirmation of their lifehood on the community, in addition to constitute na important space to formation and action of critic conscience of women and young people in search for autonomy, rights, and confrontation to the unequal matters of gender. Guardians of ancestral knowledge praticed within their fences and backyards, the women dialogue with principles of agroecology, conducting from generation to generation, through collective and horizontal dialogues and crucially acting in the agroecology diffusion in the community
