| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Pretendemos analisar características fundantes do culto órfico, notadamente iniciação, abstenção de carne e sacrifício de hinos, bem como destacar a relevância desse culto de mistérios na formação das ideias gregas sobre a alma, no período clássico, em contraposição ao período arcaico. Segundo Manfred Lurker (2003:500), o culto expressa, externamente, o respeito interior relacionado ao divino. Dele fazem parte as festas religiosas e os mistérios, os quais correspondem, por sua vez, a “cultos secretos em oposição a cultos de Estado” (p. 443). A participação nos mistérios, contudo, reclama um ingresso ritualístico, um rito de passagem, uma transição simbólica da morte para o renascimento. “Na Antiguidade, a iniciação era a admissão aos mistérios.” (p.349) |
| Abstract: | We intend to analyze characteristics of the founding Orphic cult, especially initiation, abstinence from meat and sacrifice of hymns, as well as highlighting the relevance of this cult of mysteries in the formation of Greek ideas about the soul, in the classical period, as opposed to the archaic period. According to Manfred Lurker (2003:500), the cult expressed externally, respect related to the divine within. Are part of religious festivals and mysteries, which correspond, in turn, the "secret cults as opposed to cults of state" (p. 443). The participation in the mysteries, however, claim a ticket ritual, a rite of passage, a transition symbolic death to rebirth. "In antiquity, the initiation was admission to the mysteries." (P.349) |
