Algumas considerações sobre o ambiente urbano e seus desdobramentos para a saúde a partir de Engels

Abstract

In this paper we try to understand the origins of the issue of the urban environment and its relation to the health-disease process. Thus, we performed a reading of the work The condition of the working class in England, Friedrich Engels, in which the author, among other things, describes the chaotic process of urbanization in English cities in the nineteenth century and the devastating effect of such chaos for health of proletariat. So, from the Marxist theoretical fundamentals, we reveal that the issue of the urban environment and the health-disease process are united by capital, communing, ultimately, the same origins.
