| Abstract in Portuguese: | Neste trabalho, examina-se o tema do insanus amor nas elegias de Sexto Propércio. De início, investiga-se o provável surgimento do tema na poesia de Cornélio Galo; depois, a repercussão da abordagem de Galo na poesia de Propércio; enim, uma nova dimensão que este autor daria ao tema através da concepção de uma insana puella. |
| Abstract: | In this article, the theme of insanus amor in the elegies of Sextus Propertius is examined. At irst, the probable outset of the theme in the poetry of Cornelius Gallus is considered, after that the inluence of Gallus’ approach of the very theme on the poetry of Propertius is analyzed, and inally the new dimension the latter author gives to it through the conception of an insana puella is looked at. |
