dc.description.abstractThe Extension is one of the fundamental axis of the triad that underlies the functions of the Brazilian University, performed by actions directed to the society that cannot be separated of Teaching and Research. Therefore, the Group of Studies and Practices of Permaculture – GEPPe/UFC and the Green Group of Alternative Agriculture – GVAA/UFERSA, conducted the I and II Meetings of Agroecology and Permaculture, using participative methodologies that seek to link the scientific knowledge and the day-to-day life of the countryman. Based on that, workshops, visits to agroecological fairs and experiences in indigenous communities and rural settlements were conducted, resulting in the interest of the students in knowing the reality of the countryside, more precisely of the semi-arid and its issues, building the solutions alongside the countryman.pt_BR

dc.description.abstract-ptbrA Extensão é um dos eixos fundamentais do tripé que embasa as funções da Universidade brasileira, concretizada por ações dirigidas à sociedade, não podendo desvincular-se do Ensino e da Pesquisa. Objetiva-se, então, apresentar algumas ações que articulam o papel da Universidade e o seu compromisso social, ressaltando-se o papel da extensão no ambiente universitário, revelando-se os projetos de extensão como espaços ideais. Assim, o Grupo de Estudos e Práticas de Permacultura - GEPPe/UFC e o Grupo Verde de Agricultura Alternativa - GVAA/UFERSA realizaram o I e II Encontros de Agroecologia e Permacultura, utilizando metodologias participativas que buscaram ligar o conhecimento científico e a vida cotidiana dos(as) camponeses(as). Com base nisso, foram realizadas oficinas, visitas a feiras agroecológicas e vivências em comunidade indígena e assentamento rural resultando no interesse dos estudantes em conhecer a realidade do campo, mais precisamente do semiárido e suas problemáticas, construindo as soluções junto aos(as) camponeses(as).pt_BR
