Abstract: This work to conclude the Mathematics Degree course offered by the Federal&#xD;
University of Ceará aims to bring a study on the teaching of straight lines at the&#xD;
4th College of the Military Police of Ceará Minister Jarbas Passarinho and collect data on the effectiveness of the applied methodology. In this sense, a class project was created that presents properties and scenarios involving the straight line. To this end, the theoretical content with involved properties was presented, using a dialogical expository class plan, with the aim of bringing greater student participation and streamlining teaching during the class. Therefore, the research was developed using a quantitative, descriptive and qualitative model, characterized by involving the investigation of data collected from a studied population. From this, the action research model was chosen to carry out the work, which involves both members of the environment studied and the author in the situation. Subsequently, a questionnaire was administered to obtain the students' level of understanding. The quantitative analysis was carried out by observing the results collected by the observer. This evaluation proved to be a positive indicator given the strategies and devices used to present the planned content.

Abstract: This research investigates how educational games can facilitate mathematics learning, especially in Elementary School. Mathematics, traditionally perceived as an abstract and challenging discipline, can be transformed into a more dynamic, meaningful, and motivating experience through the application of games. Grounded in constructivist theory, this research explores how games facilitate knowledge acquisition by students through interaction with their environment, objects, and peers. Playfulness and the use of educational games in mathematics education are crucial for promoting learning and developing logical reasoning. By engaging students in practical and interactive activities, games facilitate the understanding of mathematical concepts and reduce the&#xD;
emotional barriers often associated with the subject. Additionally, games provide opportunities for problem-solving, rule observation, and strategy discussion, contributing to the formation of cognitive and social skills and concepts. At Ana Xavier Lopes Municipal School, mathematical games have been explored as an effective strategy to engage students and improve their academic performance. This Thesis examines how the incorporation of games into the school curriculum can transform the classroom into a dynamic knowledge-building environment. The goal is to provide a more motivating and enjoyable teaching experience, where students become active participants in their learning process. Through observations, interviews, and performance analyses, this study seeks to highlight the benefits of mathematical games in education, offering practical guidelines for their effective implementation.

Abstract: This academic production addresses the implementation of the Newton-Raphson method for determining real roots on scientific calculators, presenting a more effective approach compared to traditional methods. Positioned as a practical reference guide, the research aims to deepen understanding of the method's applicability and involved strategies. By examining the method's limitations, students can develop a critical perspective on its conditions of use and advantages. The educational aspect of this work focuses on exploring the tangent method algorithm within an accessible electronic tool, the scientific calculator, enhancing the teaching-learning process to be more dynamic and meaningful for students. This approach prepares students to tackle practical challenges in their respective fields of study. Furthermore, the study underscores the need for further research across diverse contextual settings and proposes modifications in Mathematics teaching methodologies to mitigate identified cognitive obstacles.

Abstract: This research is based on the importance of mathematics interconnected to students' daily lives, how people use it without even realizing it, how much we are involved in mathematics and that it is still the focus of studies. Mathematics is essential in our life, so it should be worked on from an early age. It is noticed that mathematics is present in practically everything from a simple trip to the market, such as financing a car, house, and realizing this we can better&#xD;
understand how mathematics works and its importance in our daily lives, and how much we can become critical people in society, as it is present in various scenarios such as administrative, financial and even political. This bibliographical research presents the importance and the need for more studies focused on mathematics interconnected to everyday life, how much this field can still be explored in order to improve knowledge. The objective of this research is to connect mathematics to everyday aspects, seeking to present day-to-day applications.
