Título: Nanoarte: entre a expressão artística e o conhecimento científico
Autor(es): Sousa, Karoline Gomes de
Abstract: Art has been present throughout the evolutionary process of humanity since the cave paintings produced in prehistoric times. As society developed, new technologies emerged, directly affecting artistic typologies in each historical period. Since technological innovation enables art to reach new levels of expression as a means of reflecting human subjectivity and complexity, it becomes clear that artistic manifestations, in addition to reflecting various social aspects such as values, culture, memory, and identity, are powerful vehicles for social, political, and economic critique, as well as for reflecting advances in scientific knowledge and, consequently, the technological transformations that give rise to new artistic languages. Likewise, with the advent of material production at the nanoscale, the situation was no different. Thus, a new form of digital art that brings together science, art, and technology emerges: nanoart. The present research seeks to understand how the discourses of nanoartworks contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge about nanoscience and nanotechnology. This study was designed as basic research in nature. Regarding procedures, the research is considered bibliographic and documentary, as well as exploratory and descriptive, according to the established objectives. The proposed approach is qualitative, and data analysis was conducted using Bardin’s (1977) content analysis. The research locus selected was the international competition entitled NanoArtography. A total of 136 nanoartworks published in the competition between 2016 and 2024 were identified. However, this study was delimited to the analysis of the works classified in first place and those awarded by public choice (people’s choice). Thus, the sample corpus consists of 18 nanoartworks, and this selection is justified in order to assess discursive production over the years among works chosen by both specialized and non-specialized audiences. The results made it possible to identify that a significant portion of the authors still privilege specialized terminology and explanatory descriptions, reinforcing the logic of scientific communication aimed primarily at dialogue among peers. Consequently, we conclude that nanoart currently constitutes an expressive device with great potential for dissemination among specialists, contributing mainly to the renewal of forms of knowledge circulation within the scientific community itself. Nevertheless, its reach as a tool for science communication to broader audiences still depends on strengthening the verbal narratives that accompany the artworks.

Título: “Na ditadura o Brasil era melhor”: práticas de desinformação como forma de disputa pela memória
Autor(es): Andrade Junior, Flávio Sousa de
Abstract: This research investigates disinformation practices in the production of content for social media, specifically audiovisual platforms. With the popularization of Digital Information and Communication Technologies, more and more people have started using digital tools to communicate and access information quickly, and furthermore, they themselves have become
producers of content disseminated in these virtual spaces. This possibility opens up space for groups or individuals to produce and disseminate disinformation quickly and broadly, reaching a high number of users who interact with that content and causing it to be increasingly shared both by people and by the algorithms that govern social networks. In audiovisual production, one of the social platforms that stands out is YouTube, where it is
possible to create channels and publish videos. One of these channels is "Brasil Paralelo," a content producer that aims to produce documentaries on history, politics, and education, but presents an alternative view to current events. In this sense, the following question arises: How does the audiovisual content production of "Brasil Paralelo" use disinformation practices to construct an alternative narrative about historical events in Brazil, particularly in the documentary "1964: Brazil Between Weapons and Books"? To answer this question, the research has the general objective of investigating the audiovisual content production of "Brasil Paralelo" and its constituent elements in the construction of a narrative about historical events in Brazil. The specific objectives are as follows: 1) to verify how disinformation practices are articulated in the current context of social interaction platforms, focusing on the production and dissemination of audiovisual content; 2) to examine the relationships between audiovisual media and the construction of memory, analyzing how media narratives can influence the perception of historical events; 3) to analyze the documentary "1964: Brazil Between Weapons and Books" produced by "Brasil Paralelo," identifying discursive strategies
and elements of disinformation used in the historical reconstruction of the military dictatorship. Regarding methodological procedures, the research falls within a qualitative and exploratory approach, conducted through bibliographic and documentary research, in order to build a theoretical foundation that aided in the analysis of the documentary. Two techniques were applied: film analysis and critical discourse analysis. During the analysis of the documentary, the use of disinformation practices was identified, such as decontextualization of facts, historical denialism, fake news, use of out-of-context images, misinformation, as well as cinematographic elements that seek to win over the public through feelings and beliefs. It is concluded that the documentary produced by “Brasil Paralelo” functions as “propaganda” that preaches neutrality, but mainly seeks to provide its audience with arguments lacking rigorous or factual basis, which will be propagated on social media, generating empty debates, with disinformation as the basis for these positions, and consequently becoming ingrained in the social imaginary and creating a new narrative about the events that led to the military dictatorship in Brazil and the consequences of this process.

Abstract: This study addresses the information mediation practices promoted through the participatory culture of LGBTQIAPN+ literature fans on digital social networks and the resulting impacts of interactions between readers and content producers on the internet. In this sense, the interaction of the fandom of Red, White and Royal Blue (RWRB), a book by Casey McQuiston adapted for film, stands out. Thus, the general objective of the research is to investigate information mediation practices and the bond established by participatory culture from the perspective of the reading community of the aforementioned work. In line with this, the following specific objectives were articulated: a) to verify how Mediation, Queer Theory, and Participatory Culture are articulated in the context of the relationship between fans, literary works, and audiovisual adaptations, with an emphasis on the LGBTQIAPN+ community; b) to analyse the perception of the creators of the website and social media profile X (formerly Twitter) ‘Vermelho, Branco & Sangue Azul Brasil’ regarding their role in disseminating information about the novel studied; and c) to examine whether the mediating practices carried out by fans of the work influenced its film adaptation. In terms of methodological procedures, this is an applied research study with a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach to its objectives and a bibliographic and documentary survey, in addition to the phenomenological method used to guide the study. For the data collection stage, the instruments chosen were structured interviews with the administrators of ‘Vermelho, Branco & Sangue Azul Brasil’ and an online questionnaire for followers of that page on the digital social network X. Data interpretation was carried out according to the assumptions of Content Analysis. The results point to the recognition of fans, that is, from the perspective of the groups of producers and consumers participating in the research, as essential for the popularisation of works in the digital sphere. It is concluded that the practices of information mediation carried out by fans, especially those who manage internet pages and disseminate information, have a notable influence on the process of adapting literary productions to audiovisual products. In addition, it is identified that these mediating actions also contribute to the creation and strengthening of inclusive and welcoming digital environments for the LGBTQIAPN+ community, as well as reinforcing the importance and involvement of fans in cultural, political and social transformations.

Abstract: University libraries play a fundamental role in supporting teaching, research, and extension activities. However, they face ongoing challenges due to technological transformations, shifts in academic practices, and increasing user expectations. In this context, it is essential to adopt strategies that ensure efficient and up-to-date services. Quality Management emerges as an effective approach by introducing systematic methods for continuous improvement. When applied to libraries, it can optimize internal processes, standardize services, enhance user satisfaction, and improve institutional performance. Therefore, it is crucial to understand how Quality Management can be implemented and what benefits it may bring to these organizations. This study seeks to answer the following central question: What is the potential of Quality Management in the development of information products and services, based on national and international guidelines, within the context of university libraries? To address this, the research aims to propose adapted Quality Management guidelines for university libraries, focusing on the continuous improvement of the services and products offered, while considering the specific characteristics and needs of each institutional context. Methodology: The research is of an applied nature, with a qualitative character and exploratory objectives. The study examines the Library System of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in Brazil and university libraries in Germany, with the Central Library of the Pici Campus Prof. Francisco José de Abreu Matos (BCCP) and the University of Vechta Library serving as case studies. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and participant observation. Analysis was based on Bardin's (2011) content analysis method, organized into thematic categories: university libraries, Quality Management, and the librarian's role in this context. The research process included a literature review, an in-depth study of the selected libraries, data collection and analysis, and the development of management guidelines. Results: The findings indicate that university libraries in Brazil and Germany share core principles of Quality Management, such as the pursuit of continuous improvement and user satisfaction. However, the implementation of these concepts varies by context. In both libraries, Quality Management appears to be integrated into the organizational culture, as seen in documented processes, ongoing performance evaluation, and greater staff autonomy in driving improvements. One of the main challenges identified is the need for increased staffing, as limited human resources often hinder the implementation of improvement initiatives. Conclusion: The study concludes that the implementation of Quality Management in university libraries is a dynamic process that can be adapted to various institutional and cultural contexts. The proposed guidelines represent a viable path toward enhancing library services in their unique realities.
