An example of materials are the tires, their recycling has a limit, after this limit, the tire is known as scrap tires, making the consumer discard it. The simple disposal of scrap tires in a land beyond causing an occupation exaggerated physical space for deposition, can cause damage to the environment and public health. From August 2, 2010, Law 12.305, manufacturers and importers are obliged to implement reverse logistics. The purpose of this research is study and analyze the reverse logistics system of waste tires in the city of Fortaleza. The methodology used is a literature search exploratory, and a descriptive and exploratory research. The results were obtained from the following sources, Federal Technical Registry of IBAMA, Reciclanip, collection point of Fortaleza, small tire repair stores, branches of city hall and Ecofor, concessionaire responsible for managing solid waste in Fortaleza. And from these results is that the reverse logistics system of waste tires in Fortaleza exists, but it has failures. And from these results, it is concluded that reverse logistics system of scrap tires in Fortaleza exists, but has failures.
