Abstract: Physical education in schools, is a compulsory subject in the curriculum and aims at the complete&#xD;
formation of the student, through contents belonging mainly to the body culture of the movement.&#xD;
This area of knowledge becomes an important factor in student development and contributes to their&#xD;
formation as an active and conscious citizen in society. However, there are difficulties to be&#xD;
overcome in order to have absolute learning, such as the dropout of physical education classes and&#xD;
demotivation, these difficulties are detrimental facts in the education system. This paper aims to&#xD;
identify the causes that are leading students to dropout in high school physical education classes in&#xD;
public schools in the city of Pentencoste-CE. This study is characterized as observational, crosssectional and quantitative, with the application of a questionnaire to the students and its analysis.&#xD;
With the analysis of the results, it was noted that there is pedagogical divestment on the part of&#xD;
teachers, and factors such as monotonous classes and too much teacher were evasive factors very&#xD;
frequently marked by students. Therefore, it is concluded that a pedagogical investment on the part&#xD;
of the physical education professional is necessary, so as to provide new and timely experiences for&#xD;
the students and thus the school physical education has its objectives achieved.

Abstract: This study proposes to carry out a bibliographic review regarding the evaluation of the&#xD;
learning process linked to physical education, in Brazilian schooling. The objective is to&#xD;
identify the concept that&#xD;
underlies the evaluative perspective of several authors, how they characterize and&#xD;
describe the evaluation of learning and what are the implications for the specificity of&#xD;
school physical education. Various platforms were used as a search source, such as&#xD;
google scholar, scielo, electronic journals’ websites, and books. There was an&#xD;
emphasis in the literature focused on the progressive and mediating view of assessment,&#xD;
which is opposed to a traditional assessment perspective focused on classification, exams&#xD;
and tests. It has been also possible to identify the importance and complexity of the&#xD;
questions surrounding the theme, such as: What to evaluate? How to evaluate? When to&#xD;
evaluate? What is to evaluate? What to evaluate for? Issues that are sometimes dealt with&#xD;
in a reductionist and simplistic way
