Abstract: The proposal presented in this work is the use of lectures and thematic seminars, a case study, as an educational tool in teaching electricity by producing seminars that encourage the student to do research and to expose content, the other, in a peculiar language using intelligences and abilities intrinsic to it, based on the theory of multiple intelligences Gardner. The research has qualitative and quantitative, with methodology using the lecture and thematic seminar, which data collection was originated by the application of socioeconomic questionnaire, educational questionnaire, pre-test and post-test. The post-test was administered after the development of the thematic seminar, as a way of learning recovery, both being required for the percentage of the class that did not reach grade equal to or higher than the average required by the school in completing the pre-test. The results we can verify the recovery of student learning activity underwent, relating the pre-test to post-test, showing the efficiency of the teaching method.

Abstract: This work focuses on investigating whether the experiment using low cost materials enhances student learning about the concepts of simple electric circuits, verifying that this feature can be applied to other content on the Teaching of Physics. On the aspect of the theoretical approach, the use of experimentation possible solutions to minimize the difficulties of failure in learning the contents of physics, offering numerous possibilities to learn by practicing, trying to relate the use of experimental activity with meaningful learning. Applied research on two groups of 3rd year high school students in a private school showed significant results related to learning and student motivation, verifying the possibility of extending other content applied physics.
