Its central objective is to present possible contributions from the library for the exercise of the right to disconnect. To this end, it presents an experience report from the Library of the Regional Labor Court of the 7th Region - Ceará, where cultural reports were prepared. Methodologically based on exploratory and descriptive studies, in terms of getting to know the environment and its audience, as well as describing the steps for building an informational product geared to culture. It presents as initial results a good public receptivity for the product developed, in addition to the institutional recognition of the library as a mediator of cultural products. Finally, it concludes that libraries are potential organizations that contribute to the right to disconnect from the mediation of information and cultural mediation. Therefore, it presents concepts of information retrieval, silence, recall, precision and noise. Based on this, it conducts an exploratory and descriptive research, with the website of the Database in Information Science (Brapci) as the locus for study and analysis. It performs an analysis of information retrieval from four categories: flexibility, usability, accessibility and efficiency. As a result, it describes the main positive points that could be improved in the categories listed from the empirical research on the website. It concludes that, in spite of the aspects to be improved, Brapci presents good results with regard to information retrieval, in addition to being an intuitive and easy to use and access information system, with significant prominence in the scientific field of Library Science and Information Science in Brazil.
