Um framework para apoiar especialistas no problema de recuperação de contêineres em terminais portuários

Título: Um framework para apoiar especialistas no problema de recuperação de contêineres em terminais portuários
Autor(es): Mateus, Willian Anderson de Sousa
Abstract: With the use of containers in port terminals, the challenge arises of handling
them in order to obtain a shorter time for operations. Among the problems encountered in this context, the Container Recovery Problem stands out, which seeks to determine a sequence of operations with containers performed in a yard bay using cranes. Given the number of optimization algorithms found in the literature, a strategy that allows the construction of solutions is necessary. The objective of this work is to identify an alternative capable of assisting specialists in building solutions. Through a literature review, it was possible to observe the need for a generic and easily integrated framework. To verify the framework's behavior, two algorithms were integrated: PRC_GREEDY and PRC_CONSTRUCTIVE. The results showed the solutions found by the technique and the time spent executing the instances adopted from the literature. Through the framework, it was possible to visualize and analyze the generated solutions, which allowed us to verify the impact of the solutions applied to the problem.

Abstract: According to the IBGE, 5% of the Brazilian population has hearing impairments and faces a barrier to communication during daily tasks. Communication for people with profound deafness occurs through Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The objective of this work is to identify an alternative to assist teachers in creating activities for people who are beginning to learn numbers in Libras. A framework was developed that allows teachers to personalize activities with arithmetic operations involving Libras signs. The activities are generated automatically and gradually, combining numbers with Libras signs. In the validation, it was noted that 90% of the participants rated the satisfaction level between 9 and 10, highlighting the participants' acceptance.

Abstract: The teaching of software processes at the Federal University of Ceará, Russas campus, is still
predominantly conducted in a traditional manner, focusing on theoretical exposition. This paper
presents a pedagogical experience based on playful dynamics using LEGO pieces, applied in
the course Introduction to Software Processes. The activity involved 27 students, organized into
groups with defined roles, who went through the stages of planning, execution, and review. The
objective was the delivery of a documented prototype, followed by qualitative and quantitative
evaluation. The results indicated that the methodology fostered greater engagement, creativity,
adaptability to changes, and learning from mistakes. Most participants evaluated the experience as
“Excellent” or “Very Good,” highlighting its contribution to the learning of software processes and
its effectiveness compared to traditional methods. It is concluded that the use of playful dynamics
not only supports the assimilation of technical content but also promotes the development of
collaboration, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Abstract: With the rapid expansion of electronic commerce, companies have faced increasingly significant
challenges related to customer retention, particularly due to the ease with which consumers
can switch between providers. Customer turnover, or churn, has emerged as a critical factor
affecting financial performance, as it entails potential revenue loss and higher costs associated
with acquiring new customers. In this context, the application of machine learning techniques
proved to be a promising approach for predicting user behavior and generating strategic insights
to support churn-mitigation actions. With this purpose, the present study evaluated predictive
models designed to estimate the probability that a product viewed in an e-commerce environment
would be effectively purchased by the customer. The experiments were conducted using a
public dataset available on the Kaggle platform. The study encompassed preprocessing, feature
engineering, model training, and validation stages. The results obtained were compared with
those reported in the literature, aiming to contribute to the improvement of predictive solutions
applied to the electronic commerce sector
