Abstract: Recyclable material collection in Brazil is characterized by labor precariousness, evidenced by high
occupational accident rates in the sector, whose statistics still underreport the reality of informality in open
dumps. This article analyzes the physical and symbolic violence experienced by waste pickers at the Alto São
João dump in Russas-CE, through the lens of intersectionality between gender, race, and class. The study is
based on the premise that unequal urban growth in the municipality has consolidated territories of high
socio-environmental vulnerability, where occupational risk merges with structural violence. Methodologically,
the research is a qualitative and descriptive-analytical field study, derived from an Ergonomic Work Analysis
(EWA) project. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 22 waste pickers, selected through convenience
sampling and community mediation. The results demonstrate that being a Black, poor woman at the dump
implies disproportionate exposure to risks of death and social stigmatization, exemplified by recent episodes of
fatalities and assaults on-site. It is concluded that the trajectory of these workers, far from being merely a
symbol of resistance, constitutes a permanency—a sense of continuity—within strata of extreme poverty,
contradicting the perception of dignity in labor and revealing dehumanization in the Ceará semi-arid region.

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the adequacy of demand forecasting methods applied to the
commercialization of mineral water in a pharmacy retail chain in the state of Ceará,
considering the direct supply model adopted by the company. It is an applied research study
with a quantitative approach, employing bibliographic research procedures and a case study.
The analysis was based on historical sales data of bottled mineral water, covering the period
from January 2022 to November 2025, with emphasis on stores representative of demand
behavior. Initially, the performance of demand forecasts using the simple moving average
method, currently adopted by the company, was evaluated. Its limitations include high
reactivity and the inability to anticipate seasonal variations, resulting in stockouts and excess
inventory. Subsequently, seasonal adjustment and Holt–Winters methods were applied and
compared, as they are suitable for explicitly addressing trend and seasonality components.
Model performance was assessed using two error metrics: Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD)
and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), considering both training and validation
datasets. The results showed that the Holt–Winters method achieved higher predictive
accuracy for both analyzed stores, demonstrating greater robustness in contexts of high
consumption variability. It is concluded that replacing the current method with approaches
more appropriate to the stores’ demand profile can significantly contribute to improving
demand planning and inventory management within the company

Título: Implantação de um sistema de gestão da manutenção computadorizado em uma rede de academias: uma análise operacional e estratégica
Autor(es): Almeida, Nicole Samiris Amorim de
Abstract: Maintenance management has increasingly assumed a strategic role in organizations, especially
in service sectors that are highly dependent on physical assets, such as fitness center chains, in
which equipment availability and reliability directly impact user experience and business
competitiveness. In this context, this study aims to analyze the impacts of implementing a
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) on the planning, monitoring, and
control of maintenance activities in a fitness center network. The research is classified as
applied, with a qualitative and descriptive approach, using a case study as the technical
procedure. Data collection was carried out through bibliographic research, documentary
analysis of reports extracted from the maintenance system, and observation of operational
routines before and after the CMMS implementation. The results show that the adoption of the
system enabled information centralization, process standardization, increased traceability of
work orders, and the structuring of maintenance performance indicators, such as MTTR,
MTBF, and backlog. Improvements were also observed in response time control, preventive
maintenance planning, and governance over outsourced service providers. It is concluded that
the implementation of the CMMS significantly contributed to the maturation of maintenance
management, promoting greater asset reliability, operational efficiency, and support for
strategic decision-making in the analyzed fitness center network.

Título: Empreendedorismo e viabilidade de mercado no setor varejista de moda: proposta de plano de negócio para loja de moda feminina
Autor(es): Carvalho, Amanda da Silva Lima
Abstract: Female entrepreneurship has increasingly consolidated itself as a relevant instrument of
social transformation, and the women’s fashion segment stands out as one of the sectors with
the highest female participation in Brazilian retail, operating in a highly competitive market.
This Undergraduate Final Project aims to develop a business plan for a women’s clothing
store, seeking to analyze the economic and financial feasibility of the venture. The study
adopts a descriptive and exploratory approach, based on bibliographic research and the
analysis of secondary data related to the women’s fashion retail sector. The business plan
encompasses the definition of the business model, market analysis, marketing strategies,
operational planning, and financial planning. From a financial standpoint, projections of
initial investment, costs, revenues, cash flow, and economic indicators were prepared,
allowing for an assessment of the expected performance of the venture. The economic
feasibility analysis was conducted using indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV),
Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Return on Investment (ROI), which yielded positive
results and indicate that the implementation of the women’s clothing store is economically
feasible, demonstrating potential profitability and financial sustainability. Therefore, this
study contributes as a support tool for entrepreneurial decision-making and serves as a
reference for future entrepreneurs and academic research in the field of management and
business planning within the fashion sector.
