<title>Pobreza intergeracional no município de Sobral – Ceará: uma análise de suas condicionantes</title>

Autor(es): Medeiros, Victor Silva de
Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze the factors that condition intergenerational poverty in the municipality of Sobral. From this, a database with primary data obtained through the application of a questionnaire to former students of Elementary School I in the public school system of Sobral between the years 2004 and 2008 was used. After collecting the data, the intergenerational poverty indicator (IPI) was created for the intergenerational poor and then the Logit model was estimated followed by its odds ratios. It was found that, based on the statistical significance of these variations, intergenerational poverty in Sobral is influenced by factors such as race, marital status, family income, work, parental occupation and mother's education. Black individuals, single, unemployed and those with low-education mothers are more likely to remain in the cycle of poverty. Therefore, it is clear that there is a need for welfare policies to be directed at what is in fact casual and that they aim not only at transferring income, but also to integrate them with access to quality education and the job market

<title>O paradoxo do desenvolvimento no estado do Ceará: explorando a relação entre capital humano, pobreza e desigualdade econômica de 2012 a 2021</title>

Abstract: The present study investigates the development paradox in the state of Ceará, which is reflected in significant educational advances without a corresponding reduction in poverty and inequality levels. Although the state ranks among the best in basic education performance in the country, poverty and inequality still persist. The main objective of the study is to analyze the impact of human capital on poverty and inequality, as well as the possible effects among these variables in the state of Ceará from 2012 to 2021. The modeling technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a multivariate statistical technique that allows for the simultaneous estimation of direct and indirect causal relationships between endogenous and exogenous variables. The study adopts a quantitative approach, using secondary data collected from official sources such as IBGE, IPECE, and the Atlas of Human Development in Brazil. The results reveal that higher education attainment among the adult population does not have a direct impact on extreme poverty but shows an indirect effect mediated by the reduction of income inequality; this chain effect is the study's key finding. It is concluded that although human capital is essential for reducing poverty and inequality, it is not sufficient on its own, indicating that the paradox is a complex mechanism involving the equitable redistribution of opportunities and resources

<title>O valor do vento para o desenvolvimento econômico sustentável no estado do Ceará: uma revisão sistemática</title>

Abstract: Products, services, and work have well-defined values within our society. This value is most often represented by its price. However, we can also observe that the price is not always able to fully represent the value of a good or service, especially those provided by the environment. Based on this essential idea, the concept of Environmental Valuation emerged so that it would be possible to attribute economic value to resources that do not necessarily have an explicit financial value. This value can be measured in several ways, especially according to the impact that the non-existence of this natural resource would cause to the society in which it is inserted. In this context, the following monograph presents a systematic review of the literature, addressing the correlation between the existence of abundant winds in the state of Ceará, resulting in the production of wind energy, and the opportunities for fostering the sustainable economic development of the state through the exploitation of this natural resource. The study used the PICOS method to structure the research, focusing on the population of Ceará, the generation of wind energy and its effects on sustainable development. The main results reveal that wind energy contributes significantly to the economy of Ceará, especially by creating jobs and attracting investments. It is concluded that wind, as a natural resource, has strategic value that should be considered in the formulation of public policies aimed at sustainabilit

Abstract: This work analyzes the positive impact of microcredit on society, specifically on the income and employment levels of beneficiaries of the Crediamigo Program, operated by the Bank of Northeast Brazil. It also examines the limitations of this financial and productive inclusion tool. To this end, the study conducts a literature review on microcredit and the Crediamigo Program, as well as a descriptive statistical analysis of official program reports and regional data on its beneficiaries. The findings indicate that, although the program provides a high volume of credit, the support it offers requires complementary public policies to achieve full qualification and empowerment of microentrepreneurs. The program has also functioned as a financial resilience mechanism during critical economic periods and has played a significant role in the formalization and capacity-building of small businesses. The main limitations of this dissertation lie in the difficulty of accessing microdata on beneficiaries and the unavailability of certain data during the COVID-19 pandemic period. In conclusion, the program proves to be of great importance to society by facilitating access to credit for microentrepreneurs and low-income individuals, ultimately promoting economic and social development in the regions where it operates
