Abstract: This manual aims to provide clear and concise instructions for the application and interpretation of the Teaching Work Context Assessment Scale (EACTD). The EACTD is an instrument that allows a quick and accurate diagnosis of the work context of basic education teachers (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Youth and Adult Education and Specialized Educational Services). The scale can be used by managers, researchers, education professionals and other interested parties. On the following pages you will find information about the concept of work context, how to apply EACTD and how to interpret its results. Therefore, it is expected that this diagnosis will be made consistently and reliably. pg 04 The assessment of the work context proposed here is based on the collection and analysis of data about the perception that teachers have about the environment in which they work. The different items on the scale cover different situations, activities, relationships and conditions that permeate daily school life. In this sense, the data collected can be used to identify factors that affect the well-being and performance of teachers, as well as the quality of education. The results obtained from the application of EACTD will be able to guide managers and state and municipal education departments in the development of interventions that positively impact the quality of education. In this sense, the scale can provide information for decision-making and strategies for the development of policies aimed at improving the working context of teachers, promoting health and quality of life at work, as well as equitable educational practices. The construction of this instrument is carried out by the Laboratory of Practices and Research in Psychology and Education (LAPPSIE) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and the Lemann Center for Leadership for Equity in Education

Abstract: The objective of this manual is to present instructions in a precise and understandable way on the handling and application of the School Principals' Leadership Style Heteroassessment Scale (EHELDE). This scale was constructed to facilitate diagnoses of organizational behavior and other variables within the scope of Brazilian basic education. Furthermore, it presents itself as a simple and practical instrument that can be used in conjunction with other school assessment and educational policy tools. The scale is based on the Management Grid model, proposed by Blake and Mouton (1989). For the authors, leadership has two dimensions: Focus on people and Focus on results. EHELDE is made up of items that fall between these two orientations. The styles of&#xD;
leadership are derived from the combination between the two factors, resulting in the five main leadership styles: “Impoverished”, “Country Club”, “Half Term”, “Task” and “Team”. As it is a hetero-evaluation scale, leadership styles are evaluated based on teachers' perceptions of their school managers. Therefore, the data obtained by the scale can reveal aspects of the relationship between leadership and teaching work. In this way, the use of the measure has the potential to base decision-making on educational management and leadership policies, to develop training courses for school leaders, to promote studies and practices in health and teacher well-being, among others. EHELDE was built by the Laboratory of Practices and Research in Psychology and Education (LAPPSIE) at the Federal University of Ceará, Sobral campus, in partnership with the Lemann Center for Leadership for Equity in Education.
