Abstract: Transparency is an essential attribute in software development, associated with trust and process visibility. This study analyzes the interdependence between transparency and knowledge management (KM), exploring how structured KM practices influence developers’ perception of transparency. Although the literature recognizes the importance of transparency in software development, understanding how structured KM practices shape developers’ perception of transparency remains limited. This qualitative research investigates developers’ understanding of transparency, identifies KM practices and tools, and analyzes how they influence internal and process transparency. The research adopted a qualitative field study approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Thematic Analysis. Transparency is perceived through multifaceted categories such as open access to information, process clarity, and decision recording. All dimensions of the SECI model (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization) are supported by KM practices in projects. Externalization and Combination practices stand out as those most positively influencing the perception of transparency, ensuring document traceability and organizational memory. The study contributes theoretically by formally integrating KM and the concept of Transparency in the context of software development. Practically, it guides the prioritization of KM practices that foster transparency, strengthening visibility, trust, and quality in Information Systems projects.

Abstract: The increasing complexity of digital product development and the demand for agility in volatile environments have driven the emergence of Product Operations (Product Ops) as a strategic response to the cognitive overload of Product Managers. Given the scarcity of academic literature on the subject, this study aims to investigate how software companies conceptualize, structure, and perceive the value of this function in their operations. The research adopted a qualitative exploratory approach, conducted through semi-structured interviews with nine professionals from companies of different sizes (small, medium, and large) and geographic locations. Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. The results demonstrate that Product Ops is conceptualized as a "force multiplier"acting across the dimensions of data management, tools, collaboration, and operational support. Three main organizational structure models were identif ied: the Individual Model (M1), focused on exploration and generalist support; the Dedicated Team Model (M2), aimed at efficiency and sustainment; and the Departmentalized Model (M3), oriented towards governance and institutional scale. The analysis of perceived value revealed that benefits are predominantly structural and qualitative—such as noise reduction, organizational alignment, and knowledge preservation—although quantitative metrics of efficiency and deadline compliance emerge in contexts of high criticality and scale. It is concluded that the institutionalization of Product Ops is fundamental for transforming tacit knowledge into organizational assets, allowing software companies to scale their operations with consistency and reduced operational friction.

Abstract: The modern web development landscape demands increasingly performant and scalable applications to handle a growing volume of concurrent users. The choice of backend technology, especially the libraries responsible for network communication, becomes a critical factor that directly impacts a system's responsiveness. This work conducts a quantitative comparison of the throughput performance of eight HTTP request libraries across four popular programming languages: Python (requests, httpx), Node.js (axios, undici), Go (net/http, fasthttp), and Elixir (HTTPoison, Finch). Through a controlled experimental methodology using Docker containers and a stress-testing scenario focused on I/O operations, the maximum capacity of each library to process requests per minute was measured. The results demonstrated a significant superiority of the Elixir and Go libraries, which leverage their native concurrency models to achieve substantially higher throughput rates. In contrast, the Python libraries showed the greatest scalability limitations. The study concludes that the adoption of asynchronous programming paradigms and the choice of ecosystems with efficient concurrency support are fundamental for developing high-performance network applications.

Abstract: The present work aims to diagnose the level of Knowledge Management (KM) maturity in a small software development company. In a scenario of high competitiveness and technological turnover, the ability to retain and disseminate knowledge becomes a crucial strategic asset. The methodology adopted was a qualitative case study, structured in stages that included a literature review, adaptation of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) method, application of questionnaires for initial probing, and semi-structured interviews with management for deepening and evidence collection. The results indicate that, although the preliminary diagnosis suggests an "Introduction/Expansion"level, the qualitative analysis revealed a dichotomy between organizational culture and structure. It was observed that sharing and innovation practices occur f luidly and organically at operational levels, driven by agile methodologies and squad dynamics. In contrast, there are significant structural gaps in strategic management, evidenced by the absence of performance indicators for KM, the lack of formal talent retention processes, and the centralization of information at the directive level. It is concluded that the organization’s maturity is predominantly sustained by oral communication and spontaneous initiative, requiring a transition to structured governance, with defined metrics and institutional policies to ensure the longevity of intellectual capital.
