Abstract: The use of Business Intelligence (BI) as a decision-support and management solution has become increasingly popular within organizations operating in today's market. However, there remains a notable scarcity of studies on the application of BI in the management of variable compensation. This research seeks fulfill this gap by analyzing the contributions of implementing this technology in conjunction with variable compensation within a food distribution company. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate how BI contributed to optimizing the calculation of variable compensation in the organization, using a qualitative descriptive approach based on interviews and document analysis, conducted in a large-scale food distribution company located in Aquiraz, covering the entire state of Ceará. The results revealed that, prior to the adoption of BI, the commission calculation system—the variable compensation model previously in use—exhibited multiple limitations, resulting in payment delays and increased errors, while rendering communication between departments and commercial staff inefficient, leading to distrust among sales representatives and challenges in management. With the introduction of BI, new key performance indicators (KPIs) were incorporated into the process, ensuring greater accuracy and equity in the distribution of variable compensation, which is now tied to standardized earnings. The intelligence tool implemented was Power BI, which enabled the automation of calculations, the clear visualization of results, and support for real-time strategic decision-making. The analysis of the results demonstrated significant improvements in the company’s strategic alignment, a substantial increase in employee trust, greater transparency in team performance outcomes, and improved efficiency in the processes of calculating and paying variable compensation

Abstract: Operational excellence and continuous improvement are fundamental tools for business success. This
study aims to examine how quality management can contribute to the efficiency of logistics processes
in a beverage company, focusing on warehousing. The research investigates how tools such as PDCA
and 5S are implemented to optimize operations, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the

quality of distributed products. The methodology adopted consists of a case study based on semi-
structured interviews with employees from the company's warehousing sector. The qualitative

analysis of the collected data allowed for the identification of key practices adopted, challenges faced,
and opportunities for improvement in integrating quality management into logistics processes. The
results show that PDCA is essential for strategic planning and solving operational problems, fostering
continuous improvements. 5S, in turn, contributes to organization, safety, and workplace efficiency.
The study highlights the importance of these tools for logistics and suggests possible adjustments to
optimize their application in the warehousing sector, reinforcing their relevance to business
competitiveness and sustainability.

Abstract: This study investigates the main events that lead to delays in containerized cargo
deliveries within intermodal operations of Company X in the Northeast region. The
objective is to outline the key factors causing delays and their primary motivations. Using
a quantitative and exploratory approach, the case study analyzed operational data from
January to December 2023. The results highlight that delays are linked to four main
categories: operational failures, external issues, unforeseen adverse conditions, and
client-related Problems. Finally, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of
operational dynamics and proposes improvements that can enhance logistical efficiency
in container operations.

Abstract: Motivations to undertake are addressed in the literature through the effect of intrinsic and
extrinsic factors. This research aims to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that motivate
people to start their entrepreneurial processes. This is a descriptive and qualitative research
through documentary analysis related to the videos of interviews conducted in the inspiring
experiences project. 26 interviews were analyzed and categorized by motivating factors for
undertaking: “Specific objective or need”, “Encouraged by family/friends”, “Had the
desire to undertake”. The results indicated a predominance of the factor “encouraged by
family/friends”, as 15 entrepreneurs were classified in this category. In addition, 14
