Abstract: The geological characteristics of the contribution basin has significant influences over
them, eventually occurring over all the operational period as a consequence of the subterranean
flux, becoming evident in sedimentary basins and influencing the hydric balance directly. The
objective of this paper is to evaluate the interference of the subterranean flux in the hydric
reservation volume of a dam during the operational period. The hydric balance of the Jaburu I dam
was analyzed to determine, based of real monitoring data, the influence of the sedimentary basin
over dam operations. One result was the quantification of the subterranean flux over drought
periods, evaluating hydraulic behavior for different scenarios, as well as its influence on feeding
and depletion rates of the reservoir. Its behavior was also assessed over winter periods, showing the
occurrence of high volumes of infiltration in underground rock due to its high hydric retention
capacity.

Abstract: This work presents a quantitative study about school dropout in the Universidade
Federal do Ceará (UFC) Campus Russas, focusing on psychological problems caused or
amplified by academic trajectory. The data were collected in the institution through a research
questionnaire, and were compared with data from the 2015 Higher Education Census (INEP
2017). In this research, 362 students were interviewed, reaching 36,31% of all the campus
students. With the statistical analysis, it was observed that 51,1% of the students claim to
possibly have had some psychological disorder. Also, 57,46% of the students claim to have
had thoughts about dropping out and, from these, 10,58% alleged that psychological problems
were part of the reason. The association between social work, support and incentive to
permanence, and psychological aid is of extreme importance to the permanence of students
with a shaken mental health.
