A distribuição de informações em editoriais de jornais:uma análise a partir do modelo CARS

Abstract

his paper uses the Swales CARS model to describe the editorial genre as well as to identify and delimit its rhetoricunits and to formalize preliminary model of content distribution in this kind of genre. It was taken a corpus of sixteen editorial textsand the analysis identified five information units (title, thesis presentation, thesis explanation, argumentation and indication ofpublisher point of view). Through this rhetoric model, it was possible to conclude that the editorial text organization is structuredon the argumentative type
