| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Neste artigo colocamos em relação três disciplinas que aparecem como irreconciliáveis – Matemática, Literatura e Tradução–, com o objetivo de demonstrar como diferentes áreas do conhecimento transcendem seus próprios discursos, provocando uma extensão dos seus saberes em direção a outros campos de saber; uma maneira de continuar a existência sob novas formas discursivas. Existem inteligências matemáticas que criam literatura, e que escrevem poesia. Existem inteligências literárias que traduzem textos matemáticos, e que comentam e traduzem textos científi cos. Propomos dar visibilidade a esses fenômenos associados graças à tradução. |
| Abstract: | In this paper we are establishing a relationship among three areas of study that seem incompatible: Mathematics, Literature and Translation. Our objective is to show how different areas transcend their own discourses, motivating an extension of their knowledge towards other domains. It is a manner of continuing their existence under new discursive forms. There are mathematical minds that create literature, that write poetry. There are literary minds that translate mathematical texts, and that comment and translate scientific texts. Our purpose is to give visibility to these phenomena associated thanks to translation. |
| Abstract in Spanish: | En este artículo ponemos en relación tres disciplinas que parecen irreconciliables –Matemáticas, Literatura y traducción–, con el objetivo de mostrar cómo diferentes áreas del conocimiento trascienden sus propios discursos, provocando una extensión de sus saberes hacia otros campos de saber; una manera de continuar su existencia bajo nuevas formas discursivas. Hay inteligencias matemáticas que crean literatura, y que escriben poesía. Hay inteligencias literarias que traducentextos matemáticos, y que comentan y traducen textos científicos. Nos proponemos hacer visibles estos fenómenos que la traducción permite asociar. |
