| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este estudo analisa a influência do tempo verbal na seleção dos modos em orações subordinadas substantivas. Tem como objetivo analisar amostras de língua falada e compreender de que maneira os grupos de fatores tipos de verbos da oração principal e tempo verbal atuam sob a alternância modal. Os dados de fala foram coletados em forma de entrevista nos moldes labovianos e analisados a partir de rodadas feitas no VARBRUL (PINTZUK, 1988). Os resultados sugerem que o tempo verbal das orações exerce forte influência na seleção da forma indicativa ou subjuntiva das orações subordinadas, contudo apontam também para a correlação com as modalidades de volição, avaliação/opinião, certeza expressas nas proposições. |
| Abstract: | This study examines the influence of the tense in the selection of modes in subordinate clauses. Its objective is to analyze samples of spoken language and understand how groups of factors of types of main clause verbs and tense work in the modal alternation The speech data were collected in an interview in the manner labovianos and analyzed from rounds made in VARBRUL (PINTZUK, 1988). The results suggest that the tense of the sentences has a strong influence in the selection of indicative or subjunctive form of subordinate clauses. In general, there is a strong correlation between tense, mode and variation of modes indicative/ subjunctive. |
