Análise dos encaminhamentos realizados da atenção primária à saúde a um serviço-escola de psicologia

Abstract

Our main aim in research was to analyze the referrals of the Primary Health Care in the city of Sobral, through the Applied Psychology Service, from the Federal University of Ceará. The study had qualitative and transversal outlining, with a descriptive-exploratory objective. As for the procedures, they were conducted by the usage of documents, since the source of data was provided by S.P.A.’s patient records. In total, 293 among the 1000 patient records came from the APS. The data of the research was analyzed by using the Critical Discourse Analysis (A.D.C.) and the results were presented from four axes. We could see that among the professionals that refer the patients to the service, 25,8% were psychologists, 22% general doctors, 15,’% psychiatrists and 11,3% nurses. In relation to the profile of the referred people, the great majority were from the female sex (69%), their age ranging from 31 to 50 (35,8%) and the “Anxiety/Nervous/Tension sensations” as the biggest complaint emphasis (29%). In relation to the withdraw and abandonment from the patients, the cases were detailed and they have showed other variables, having more to do with social problems than with helping the patients. The referrals from APS to the S.P.A. are significant, a number surpassed only by the spontaneous demand of people that come to the service. Although there were referrals, there is no data showing the relevance of the continuity of the caring process and to the contact in the Family Health Centers like S.P.A., a fact that tells us that the principles of longitudinal, integral and continuous caring have not been effective. It was observed that the S.P.A. is already considered a place of reference as a space for the Psychology actions to the population. Thus, if there is the recognition of its importance, there is also the recognition of the importance of the clinic.
